Hello to you all and how I got here.

I'll try to be concise.

Confirmed smoker for 36 years

I was given a disposable e-fag to try, looked at it, put it to one side and carried on with my 30 to 40 roll ups a day.

Terrible pain on left side of my chest, hardly able to breathe.  First thought was "Well, they've finally got me then."  Went to see the quack, fearing the worst.
Doctor tells me that my left lung had collapsed, packed off to hospital for x-rays and see specialist who confirmed diagnosis (to my overwhelming relief.)
I decided there and then to make a serious attempt to pack the fags in.  My previous attempts to quit with patches, gum etc had been a total failure and I was sceptical about the e-fags, nevertheless, I decided to give the disposable a try, unwrapped it and took a drag;
Christ! it tastes bloody horrible!!  Well, I've started so I might as well finish.
Took another drag;
Actually it's not too bad.
Another drag;
I could get get used to this, let's have a look at their website....
Ordered a couple of batteries, a charger and some cartos...

And here I am.

I don't cough my guts up in the mornings, my clothes and home don't smell horrible anymore, I don't have to empty a smelly ashtray, my own self respect and the way I feel about myself has received a major boost and my fingers ain't orange anymore!

The lung re-inflated itself within two weeks.  Tomorrow, I go for a final x-ray and see the Specialist, I am so looking forward to telling him that I have packed up for good.

All my workmates smoke and several of them have openly stated that if I'm still off the fags at the end of May they are going to give the e-cigs a try, so look forward to some new converts.

You don't say what sort of batteries, cartos and juice you are using. If they work for you then that is great. If at any point they don't seem to be quite cutting it, let us know - lots of options and we can advise.

Gives you a great feeling to say "I'm a non smoker" doesn't it?.especially to the medical profession. It sounds as if your work mates will be reaching for the ecigs in May!!!
