I'm guess that brass ring in the pic fits the end so a brass washer could be fitted to that to fit your connector to.

I've made some torch mods and I use supatap washers they are 25mm dia and made of brass you just grind them down to the size you want.

You can get low temp solders for aluminium, I was watching a guy soldering to copper this morning

you can solder it at high temps too but it can be a bitch lol
Can't see why you'd need to solder to it for such as this though..

Push fit is the way to go, the Chinese do it as a safety feature, better to fire the end off than turn into a bomb!
