Morning everyone!

Well the spinners and the EVODs arrived on Friday and the juice turned up on Saturday AM.

The progress so far................

I'd had 3 stinkies on Saturday AM before the postman came, once the juice had arrived I got everything set up and I have been vaping ever since!! I rolled 1 stinky after I'd been vaping for a few hours and after 2 drags I binned it - just didn't get the same satisfaction from it.
I even managed to attend a wedding on Saturday and I took my gear and vaped all afternoon - it was quite a big deal to walk out the door without any tobacco!
Yesterday I didn't touch the stinkies and I've been stinky free so far - at work today and I've got the spinner and the EVOD sat on my desk and no tobacco!

Wife isn't far behind me.......she had a vape with me on Saturday morning but she stayed on the stinkies for the rest of the day. Sunday she wanted to try and cut down but after 4 stinkies and asking me over and over 'is it working' she asked me to hide everything tobacco related.....the result........stinky free since 11.00am on Sunday morning!!

We are both finding that we get a better feeling from the nicotine from vaping - there seems to be a point where the 'rush' comes and I can't remember the last time I got that from a stinky!!

So a couple of questions..................

We've both had a bit of leakage of juice into the mouthpiece of the EVOD. I know there is a condensation build up after we've vaped for a while but if you turn it upside down there is a little bit of juice dripping down the mouthpiece - although this is more after we've vaped rather than when it's not in use - I'm thinking that it might some juice that hasn't been vaped rather than a fault?

Secondly, we both like the USA mix from Mist E Liquid (nice throat hit and lots of vapour) but we've found that mixing it a little with the flavoured juice (watermelon and strawberry) is really nice. I've just noticed on their website that you can buy flavour concentrate so I was wondering if I could buy 100ml of USA mix and a selection of flavours and then just mix them as we please into the dropper bottles?

Why not look into the mixoly section and look at making your own juices after a while. Would be very cost effective seen as there are 2 of you vaping in the same house.
I cant help with the evod leakage as I have never had one leak

Great news - congratulations! Welcome the the wonderful world of vaping

A little bit of juice can find its way into the central tube on an Evod. I generally just unscrew the body and soak everything up with a tissue every once in a while. This happens with most clearos in my experience, nothing to worry about.

Mixing - you can indeed do that, just bear in mind that you will be (slightly) diluting the nic strength by adding anything else, depending on how much you add. A few drops won't make that much difference, but you could always get the juice in a slightly higher strength to compensate. Or just mix your own from the beginning

Going out without baccy for the first time is nerve wracking, then after a while you are carrying spare batteries, atomisers and juice where-ever you go so you are no better off on that front

Evod's do tend to build up liquid in the tube after use, I just turn my upside down over a tissue and let it drain out then wipe the mouthpiece once in a while.
A lot of clearos can get a big gurgly after a while with condensation build up it's not a big issue.

Apart from that I generally find the Evods to be a brilliant vape if a bit temperamental on occasions.

Just thought of something else, not sure if I've asked this already, but does the VV on the spinner alter how much nicotine you get per vape?

I've been vaping at 3.8v for most of the time which I find is working for me, but the wife has had hers turned up to 4.8v especially in the morning when she wants more.

But what's the difference between the 2 settings? I take it that she is getting more nicotine than me?

That foul tasting liquid in the mouthpiece will be condensate, yes. You can minimize the condensation by changing your vaping style a bit:
1) Draw on the mouthpiece a bit (maybe half a second) longer than you press the fire button. That way you will suck the vapour out of the system that would otherwise condensate.
2) Try to do long, soft drags instead of short, sharp ones that are normal for cigarettes.

Yes, you can do that just fine, but I'd advise against buying 100ml just yet. Your taste will change and you might end up with 100mils of something you don't like. Wait a few weeks before bulk ordering anything.
Often people start mixing by just mixing ready made liquids in the tank, flavourings need a bit more attention to detail because the amounts you need are very tiny.

Volts affect the heat of the coil, so the higher the voltage, the hotter the vape. This results in more throat hit rather than nicotine (I think!!). The ohms on the atty head have the same effect, except that denotes resistance, so the lower the ohms the hotter the vape. So you have a range of options for finding your perfect vape

Be careful, turning up to 4.8v can burn liquid & coils making your vape turn bitter.

Good advice above about evod condensation and mixing.

Buy the flavours and try it. Mixing you own is easy and fun.

More volts will tend to vaporise more juice per second (or whatever), and more vapour is more nicotine. But there are a lot of other variables (how long you draw, how and when you inhale etc.)

4.8 is very high for most juices, and I'm surprised she's not burning it. She could get the throat hit by turning it down and doing a longer inhale into the mouth followed by a sharp inhale into the lungs.

I'm not ready for complete DIY mixing just yet!

Think I will get either the USA mix or original tobacco and try some flavour concentrates first.

The reviews for the original tobacco on the Mist site mention using it as a base for adding flavours.

Probably. Depends how many puffs really. ???

I use higher nic juice and puff less. More power = more vapour = more juice used and certainly more nicotine on the same amount of puffs.

(well, that's my theory....)

That power/nicotine business is where the mini look-a-likes fall down. I could "invent" an e-cig tomorrow that could do over 400 puffs. It would be easy. Low power battery, high resistance carto and very little vapour (mostly air...)

But let's say you get 400 puffs from 1ml of liquid @ 24mg. That would make 10 puffs somewhere around 25% of one B&H ciggy.

There is a brand (not E-Lites, although that is my chosen specialist subject ) which seems to think their market-leading product is "equivalent to 1 cigarette" from 10 puffs.

I did the maths, and 10 puffs is the same a 1 puff on a Marlboro. 1 puff? How the hell is anyone going to avoid nicotine withdrawal on that...
