E-Cigarettes can pass through Gatwick's Security processes, however they cannot be used with the Terminal buildings or aboard the aircraft.

Just a quick update. Sat in departures with the spinner with an evod on a lanyard and have been happily vaping since I got here.

Mine neither 5 weeks ago! In the shops, at the bar (loads of vapers in there btw) on the walk to the gate; and right down the tunnel to the plane doors. Didn't make an advert out of myself just exhaled downwards,  but not stealthy styley just not blowing mist everywhere.

Adsa, Morissons, Tescos and Sainsburys all say no vaping - I vape while shopping

Leeds Train and Bus Station and First Metro Buses say no vaping - I vape while delivering to going somewhere

I was told that easyjet do not allow vaping on board a plane - I vaped all the way to turkey and back and even got my wife and the passenger sat next to us to pull out there egos and join in

Witherspoons don't allow vaping - I've vaped in a number of them.

Every single place I have been and vaped, I have not been challenged by anyone, nor has anyone even looked at me funny.

The fact is, the bosses are too busy in there offices and the staff don't care.
I also think within the last year, public awareness has grown so much to the point that people know we are not smoking and they know we are not breaking the law.

That is strange, as I have never had a problem there. This is a cut and paste from UKV.


We are flying from Gatwick in September, as there was no info on their website i decided to email them regarding their views on vaping and travelling with your "gear".

This is the reply i got today... thought it might help someone else

Dear Mrs Bache

Electronic cigarettes are allowed in your hand luggage to be taken through security search. There are no restrictions in using them at the airport, however because they look so real when being used, you may be approached my members of staff checking it is not a real cigarette. You will need to check with your airline their regulations on items being placed in the hold luggage. ChillerVapes well there you are then! I think personally if you ask then someone will, rightly or wrongly, decide instantly and often in their own head; whether you can or can't. Whereas in reality (yet) there isn't an official policy in the majority of places. My rule is 'if in doubt, don't ask' and like our experiences show, if you don't bother asking, just get on with it.

Must admit though, on the plane I was being extra stealthy, avoiding the steward(esse)s, they scare the shit out of me these days so I didn't fancy getting on the wrong side of em!

I just came back off of holiday, I got through security easy. I just kept going to the toilet too vape . Only problem is on the flight it leaked for some reason both times .

could have been the air pressure?  I used good old fashioned cartos and had no leakage problems
