I cannot impress upon you that this is WORSE than the proposed medical regulations and it shafts Big Tobacco too. There won't be any cigalikes any more than there will be anything else. They are targetting flavours which is why the ban on refillable devices. There will be no internet sales. There will be no advertising.

And if, even for one second, you think that it won't happen, think again! The ONLY reason we know about this is cos it was leaked. Many of the supportive MEPs had no idea about this till it came out in the public. We would have had no idea until the very last minute.

I had a conversation with Farsalinos this morning, and quite simply, if this is the starting point for them, it will only get worse, not better.

It is a massive blow, but it should serve to harden our resolve and to step up our game.

Apart from another, lower, arbitrary nicotine restriction at 20mg they're talking about only allowing single use cartos.

How can this possibly be justified as medical?

If they are that concerned about 'our health' why haven't they totally banned all cigarettes, which have been proven to damage health ???

believe me toots they aren't interested in our health at all just the lack of revenue, now they've banned smoking in public places, legit tobacco sales have fallen; their nic patches gum etc DONT WORK! so they have to come up with a devious underhand  way of getting more taxes!!!!!!!! ie regulate vaping......means more rules/regs... dear God that is madness. Where I'd the evidence that refillable tanks are a risk to public health????? But I think they have the wording wrong re flavourings??? So, what are we going to do about this???

lal  Jeffc's thread has a link to clive bates site HERE, he suggests what to do besides writing to your own MP/MEP

& even if you've already written with your own personal story, nothing stopping you writing again on this issue to let them know we're aware of what's going on & they aren't going to get away with it any easier then they did with the original Article 18.
