My vamo arrived on Saturday morning, I used it all day yesterday to make sure it was ok, and today stripped it down and refined it all. refinished the stainless steel (looks a lot better than in the pic), removed the gaps between tube sections, and stopped the buttons rattling using plastic shim material. Chamfering the inside of tube ends to cover the chromed brass joining pieces meant I had to take about 0.5mm of the length of the PCB. I also lined it up better with the buttons and centered the display. Have had 4 V2's from china...(FT and Vaporbreak) and this one is by far the best made one. Apart from loads of burrs and variable brush finish which are easy to remove with emery paper its pretty darn good.

BTW, the joint between the battery tube and main body is really solidly joined. Its well down with grooves and raised turne section to really grip tight and the grooves allow glue to do its job. Really solid and a pig of of job to separate. All the other vamos I have are really poor at any press fitted joins. The threads apart form being sharp with burrs initially which I removed are really smooth and fit well.

My only comment is how BIG it is, I cant remember who's Vamo I tried at our Cornish vape meet but I cant remember the sonic screwdriver (as my family are calling it) being so large, still love it though. and I wouldn't have ordered it if I hadn't gone to the meet & tried one

Hopefully you on the lonely step will get yours tomorrow. I am passing time while my back is sore to play at my desk as desk chair is the most comfortable for me to sit on. Here is the modded Vamo V5 with a spare tube below the top ring to extend it. Its strange, I can work away quite happily at front of desk but start typing and I find it really hard. My lower back is all swollen and cannot straighten it at all. I walk about like a crippled old man. The exercises I have been given do seem to help but only for half an hour and then I am as bad as I was or worse for a while. I think I did my back in working on my Motorhome..put in a new high pressure fuel pump, cam belts etc and the crankshaft pulley has to be really tight. I think that started it off an final straw was taking off one of the rear wheels... along with loads of crawling about under the van. No problem putting wheel back on, but when I stood up ....well I could not stand up. So my Vamo V5 has given me something I can play with. Must not complain though, lot of people a lot worse than me and I will mend.

My next door neighbour won't take up vaping because he things ecigs are too big and cigalikes don;t work for him. He does not seem to understand cigalikes are subsitutes for fags and not very effective, vaping with proper mods is a substitute for smoking and very effective. Tried to persuade him with ego batts and decent carts, also an elips thing I have which is surpisingly good for its small size...you can lead a horse to water but ...... Anyway, you will get used to the vamo large size and egos will seem tiny soon. You can always make lighter and shorter using 18350 batteries.
