Nope. It's getting less often though so maybe it's because it's new? I'm clutching at straws here haha. That`s strange. Strange that it is okay with the small Aspires ??? Does anyone else use a vamo with microcoils? I have a vamo v2 and can't use the PT2 with it a sit get way way too hot. And I mean after a single vape. Not after chain vaping etc.

Check the resistance before every draw and see it isn't jumping around as this would effect how much power it delivered. No jumping around. 1.4ohms

Could it be air flow? I usually have the controller almost closed as I hate the beyond airy draw of the protanks.
Will try opening it up some.

That's weird. Maybe try setting it to voltage mode and give it a go. Can't work out why it's working with the aspires. Sit it on the naughty step for a bit

With any regulated device working in wattage mode, it reads the resistance then calculates the volts. In the main this is a great system, but, if for any reason it makes a bad resistance reading It will make an error in the calculation - resulting generally in too high volts (a bad reading is most likely Going to be a higher than normal reading) The Vamo is very prone to the positive pin getting pushed in, which can result in a poor, or no, connection With the positive in on the atomiser. A VERY slight lift on the vamos positive pin may stop it getting confused. Bear in mind that if you are swapping Tanks then this will probably need to become a regular task with particular combinations.

The intention is to stick an air flow controller on and leave it to save the vamo threads as I know their reputation isn't great. But that's out the window if I can't use the protanks on. Will pull up the pin tomorrow. I got bored and have swapped back to the SID for the night. Thanks to all for the suggestions.

You're better off with it in the bottom (i.e. more air in) part of the adjustment. I have found this out whilst getting mine set up. HTH.

Won't open it all the way because I feel like in smoking a silk cut light. The protanks are just way to airy a draw. I can't be doing with it. Edit: nope. Didn't work. Properly annoyed now. I know it's only £11 but since I can't use it for it's intended purpose and I'm not about to carry such a giant mod out and about its a waste of cash.

Now I remember. I used to HAVE to fire my Protanks at below 5 watts otherwise they tasted burnt. I just thought it was the Protanks to be honest. My iClears and Aspires I could fire a lot higher, but I thought that was just because they were dual coil.
If I read back at some of my earlier posts, I see I was always amazed at people vaping at 8 watts on a PT, lol.

No jumping around. 1.4ohms clutchi g at straws but have you tried a higher ohms coil ? Maybe it can't handle 1.4 ? Just tried mine with a 2 ohm ( usually use 1.5 -1.8 and it's a bit better ! Up to 7w with no burn

Put same protank on nemesis and never tasted burnt ? Hardly use vamo due to this now Thanks. My first mod was a vamo and I used to vape a vivi nova at 7w with no problem. Cash is super tight so got another after my silver SID broke and am finding I can't vape a blooming microcoil at 8.5watts. I have an alu v2 vamo. That doesn't give a burnt taste but the top get scorching after a vape or two using the microcoil so can't use that either.
