Is it just me, or does anyone else get a build-up of juice UNDER the head, in the mounting cup on the kanger afcs? I seem to be forever having to take the head out and wiping up juice from under it... ...driving me up the wall

GunJack, it's just a case of flooding. Th eonly difference is instead of leaking all over your battery / mod, it gathers in the well. As with all flooding issues, look to your wick.

guys, it's not leakage past the wick and through the head, its down the side of the large circular plate that's halfway down the head, and gets past the o-ring seal on the underside of the head and sits in that mounting cup. Its not THROUGH the head and dropping into the very bottom of the afc.

actually, light-bulb moment !!!! it is, in fact, collecting exactly where expected, and the o-ring on the underside of the head is doing its job and preventing the bottom part of the afc becoming a juice-well..... ...still drives me mad though....

I get it occasionally with the Aerotank but I am just so glad that it stays there and can easily be wiped out.....it would be a nightmare if it was going down into the 510
I seem to get it less since using @davetheryon`s sample of Rayon....which sort of points to juice flowing from under the coil and out through the centre hole due to cotton collapsing on itself, where Rayon seems to hold its shape in the slots on the Kanger head.

I have to say that having tried a couple of aerotanks I was so impressed with the afc I have bought afc's to go on all my Protanks. I haven't had a leak or a gurgle since fitting them. I think they're the best thing since sliced bread.

Me three, the new v2 AFC are a huge improvement. I found the v1 a load of c**p and had similar problems to you on my Protank 2s GunJack , I haven't had any problems YET with the v2 AFC

me four, actually... all my pt-II and -III have afc on them, it's just this issue that drives me insane... ..so, cHooBeyDoo does the v2 afc have a re-designed interior, to minimise this effect, or is it pretty much the same?

I don't know if the v2 unscrews like the v1 so cannot comment on that but just by looking at them they are different inside. The v2 looks more hollow inside, so more room for airflow I suppose and the bottom pin looks similar to the v1 but slightly higher, looks like a slightly better design. Hope you can distinguish the inside, sorry if it's a bit grainy and blurry, pic was just taken quiclky with my phone in low light. Also the v2 main body is roughly 2.5mm taller than the v1. Sorry the second photo is slightly blurry too but you can see the comparison. No two ways about it, the v2 is a much better design IMO

cheers cHooBeyDoo much appreciated. The way the v1 unscrews is a total PITA I've had the v1 do that to me on a number of occasions, I know what you mean, a right royal PITA! Not sure if the v2 unscrews like the v1 and I don't want to find out, but not had the v2 do it yet. I just took the coil out of the v2 after vaping 5ml of juice and although there is a little juice in the pin well, there's nothing in the chamber and no leakage through to the 510 connection I would of had to give the v1 a good wash after 5ml of juice as it would be flooded.
