Due to the number of people selling fake AW batteries I thought I'd post a little list of approved UK stockists. If you buy anywhere else expect either fakes, or overpriced resellers.

Yes, of course some other retailers sell the genuine ones, but cos they're not approved you won't get any support from AW themselves.

I know they are not uk but are pinkmule genuine? I would believe so as always had great service from them

Hard to tell from the photo. If it has the correct hologram then it probably IS genuine. You'll still get no support from AW, but tbh how many times has anyone needed support with a battery.

Wow, you get about a lot Village idiot formerly tjlumle.

All the images on the sites you linked to have the black labels. These were phased out in December 2013, so old photo, old stock, or fakes.

AW only list authorised sellers in the UK/USA, probably because they are the only countries AW can enforce any constraints.

I only wanted to list the approved UK vendors.

Don't apologise Village idiot formerly tjlumle, they are all good questions. Just with the info I have at hand I couldn't answer them. Maybe someone could extend an invite? Would be really good for all the members to get it 'from the horse's mouth' per se. I'd be interested too

I know he has a forum page on cpf marketplace and that's where I got my info from but all the ones I listed basically are approved places according to aw

I've seen his forum (had a quick glance). He names and shames a few vendors that definitely sell fakes. I was surprised to see ecolux (the ebay vendor) listed there. I'm thinking about having this thread removed so I can start again with all the info there.

After an email confirmation from AW I can safely state that the vendors I listed in the OP are the only approved UK stockists of AW batteries.

That does not mean everything else is fake. But if a non approved vendor is undercutting these approved vendors you have to wonder where the batteries are coming from. Yes, some of the non-approved do deal directly with AW through cpf marketplace, but they are sold for personal use and not for resale.

The point to all this is if you get an AW battery from a non-approved vendor and it blows up in your hand then AW bears no responsibility and is not accountable.

This is the reason torchy doesn't sell AW's

One of the listed sellers of fake AW's is Vapemate. hcigar are also listed.

There will have been some changes and some additions. That list is from 2009. However I don't see AW supplying a vendor that has previously sold fakes.
