Is there an easy way to remove it to get at coiling? I've tried pliers, screwdriver and even swearing at it but it won't budge. Not even a little wiggle.
On the plus side, I coiled a kayfun and a taifun!

Some of them can be stupidly stubborn. I normally screw it back into the base, wallop it onto a mod then wiggle it off with pliers if it's an awkward one as I can get a better grip on it.

I just put the coil in from the bottom. Line up with the side slits. Insert a needle or drill to keep it in position. I read somewhere that you can get the chimney off by inserting a suitable diameter old drill from the bottom and tapping it with a hammer to push the chimney off. I'm not allowed to use a hammer without supervision

Thank you. I've only got 3 so far but a fair few stock ones. I drop below 30 and start panicking about shortages!

stock coils are complete sh-te compared to microcoil and cotton, am happy to do them if you can't. If you can then strip out your stock coils and makethe kanger as good as it can be.

Its the chimney bit. I'll have a go tomorrow but I hurt my hand with pliers today. Didn't release pressure of grip when it slipped onto thumb base. I think I gripped tighter instead! Silly mistake. I think if I can get one chimney off I'll be sweet with the rest. If I get stuck tomorrow, I'll pm you for address

I'm talking about the original protank heads, tried the megatank heads and can't get them apart without breaking them. so coiled and wicked the original protank head and put it in the megatank as described, much better than the stock dual coil imo.

Oh I see what you mean now. I'll try that. Thank you for advice. My thinking is, if I can get to grips with it myself, it'll be easier all round. I seem to have managed shopping all right so far, go so far as to say I excel at it! I'll let you know how I get on. It'll either be a whoop whoop or a boo hoo lol
