Hi there, I'm after a bit of advice. I have a few mech mods, but they are not quite meeting what i would look for in a mech. I have two nemmy's and a jm22 (on which i managed to break the firing pin connection). I was thinking about the older version stingray (brushed and the one with the black not copper engraving) or the Gp (which is on sale on another forum) Just looking for something with a good switch, sleek looker and no wobble in the switch lol The bonus is the GP is on sale now but the older stingray is hard to find unless it is from ft Any ideas?

Hi Mrsmac i have a GP clone and i also have a stingray clone, i prefer the brass stingray over my GP clone, I just find that the button on the GP is a bit of a pain, as it can be adjusted by spinning the button for the throw etc, but i find that the more you use it the more the button works back round and leads to firing problems. The Brass stingray button is pretty good, yeh sometimes a bit clicky and sticky as geordie_vaper said but no problems really. I also have a stingray x and the button is horrendous again as Marcus said, ive also heard that the penny mod (clone) has a great switch. Hope that give you some help? I would go for an older stingray or try a penny clone or as marcus says try the colonial.

The Stingray and Stingray X switches are slightly different. Both my Stingrays are clones and both of them have excellent switches, which are preferable to a Nemesis switch, and a million times better than a Paps clone (I'm sure the original has a great button, but the Clone I have has a terrible button). The Stingrays come with magnets fitted which is a bonus

leo could you point me in the direction of a decent one? not the x version Unfortunately, my Phantom Brass Stingray, which is a thing of beauty and utterly dependable, came from FyneMods, and it looks like Matt is oos... so no, sorry! I will have a dig around and see if I can find a good one, but Matt sells good kit, I'm always happy to buy from him. If i were you I'd get the copper one that is in stock on his site. Might not be the colour you want, but if the quality is the same as the brass one I have it will give you many years of good service.
