Vaping much better than smoking No safe exposure to diacetyl and the only treatment is lung transplant, only cloud chasers should worry Diacetyl is not just in creamy flavours Don't use organic flavourings Don't do infusions UV light degrades nic, not normal light Freezing any liquid ingredients will make the last much longer Don't open frozen liquid ingredients until at room temp (condensation) Don't heat liquid ingredients hotter then bath water Not leaving space in your nic bottle is not a big deal Liquid darkening in your tank is a sign of thermal breakdown Steeping only makes sense for large molecules like in tobacco flavouring PG or VG with nic and no flavouring will start to get a tobacco like flavour over time as nic has similar large molecules VG has higher boiling point than PG Adding water to VG (AG) lowers the boiling point Mixing PG and VG means you can expos the PG to temperatures beyond it's boiling point which may release formaldehyde. And there is more about types of bottles and other stuff, this is just what my poor memory can retrieve 24 h after listening to it once and don't rely on it, if you want to know then listen, maybe a bit a at a time Good grief, you remembered lots more than I did. The guy was tedious though lol. The bit that really caught my attention though was the diacetyl, "No safe exposure to diacetyl and the only treatment is lung transplant" Even after a transplant the new lung may be affected ! That is some serious stuff and we should be doing everything possible to alert people without scaremongering. Yes ? Though the fact that diacetyl is in some most unexpected flavours puts the onus on the manufacturers of e-liquid whether they like it or not. What this means for the home mixer without access to expensive lab analysis (mass spectrometer) is anyone's guess.
IIRC the context is that vaping is recreational so the one in a thousand risk that maybe acceptable in a pop corn factory is not and unless you are mega cloud chaser you are not going to get to that level, not sure if you are if you are a cloud chaser, but I think it was suggested. According to them I'm a cloud chaser as I vape 10 ml a day, but I am vape no VG, don't use drippers and really not trying to blow clouds.

I'm not chasing clouds and vape 70/30 most of the time but I thought they were saying the effect was cumulative - ie a small amount every day built up into a large amount, unlike the example given of a beer one day and a beer the next day didn't equate to two beers as the effects wore off unlike diacetyl where rather than wear off it built up ?? I hope I have picked it up wrong ?

What you say does ring a bell charliehorse, but there was no feeling of grate danger as long as it use is stopped in the tone of the conversation. We need someone listen and give their take on it, I've done my 1:47 lol.

We need someone listen and give their take on it, I've done my 1:47 lol. I agree the general suggestion was that its still safer than smoking and it's use in vaping is being erradicated but ... Like you I've done my 1:47 lol
on it now. may take a few attempts to get through. Looking forward to someone else's take on it

Good point tomj777 she doesn't have any previous shows on sound cloud, but mentions them in the recording so it may only be up for a week.

Tomorrow (if I remember - please let me remember) I'll redirect computer audio output to a file with Audacity and distribute privately (c'right) .

Tomorrow (if I remember - please let me remember) I'll redirect computer audio output to a file with Audacity and distribute privately (c'right) . You don't have to do that. Firefox/Flashgot takes it down. It's an MP3 file called "?_Dr_Kistler_by_Jeannie_Kerswill_pKlK5ExqOXqU.128.mp3 and is 100 mb size. How will I distribute it? Zippyshare is handy for me.
