just spent the best part of the afternoon trying to build a Rose 2 (Look alike)! I did have it running with doubled Silca and Res no Res wire, but thought I would try Micro coil and Cotton. After much swearing and knashing of teeth, it's now running like a dream. I used 8 wraps .3 Kathnal around 2mm, with KGD Cotton. So far, in my Vape journey, this was the hardest build I've ever done! But I think it's the best Vape I've has thus far.. If I had the finances I would definitely buy the real thing, but realistically I'm never going to to be able to afford one! So until my numbers come up I'll have to stick with a copy!

We've all been there. But practice makes perfect and you'll soon be able to rebuild in 10 minutes or so. I also found there's not much point in messing about too much. Once you find a coil that works well (as you have) there's no point trying anything else, you'll probably end up disappointed. Glad to hear it's working for you, welcome to the club

10 minutes! You must be joking! Took me half hour to wick it. IMHO Great Atty, terrible design.

I'll time my next rebuild, but it definitely feels less than 10 minutes. But that's in comparison to the 3 days it took to get a decent build on it when it was still new to me Our builds are pretty similar. 2mm diameter, of 0.3mm kanthal. You do 8 turns but I do 7 and hits like a bullet on a mech.. Wouldn't be surprised if the majority of v2 users have a similar setup.

I think I'll try wicking the cotton before I get the legs in those tiny holes, at least I'll have something to hold on to. You got any tips?

I have no tips tbh. KGD is brilliant, but to bring out something different from a juice try some plain old cotton wool. I seem to get more flavour with CW, which goes against the general consensus. Flavour is objective. Test other wicks.

I've tried them all except Muji, to be honest there's not much in it, but KGD seems to wick far better the CC.

Rayon (cellucotton) is highly rated. I use it in my fogger but not tried it in the rose yet. Maybe worth a try? 'd

I've got some Rayon, it's on par with KGD but I can't get over it being man mad! Don't fancy taking a dry hit with it.

It's man made, but not in the same way as nylon. It's just the cellulose extracted from wood pulp and converted into something usable. If it does burn it's a clean burn like paper does (paper is wood fibres and cellulose) without any toxic byproducts. Well, nothing more toxic than cotton and certainly less toxic than tobacco. Plus it burns at a higher temperature, about 20o above the burn temperature of cotton, as far as I can remember.

You got any tips? when you've made coil put something like a allen key, needle through it and when you go to place legs in holes make sure the object that goes through coil sits in the ceramic cup and if youve bent the legs right it should go in, keep object through coil and tighten up crub screws, mine normally finishes diagonal so when i get kgd i twist end and thread through. hope it makes sense (it does to me)

I use a twisted build, it makes the legs that little bit stiffer and then I can find the holes easier
