Recommendation for safe wall charger output 5v - 500mA

Hi Guys,

I really need some help with finding a safe and suitable UK wall charger.  I use a Ego 900 mah battery from Mr Smoke who supply a psu charger when you buy a battery, however they now do not stock any wall chargers. The one I originally bought from them states Input 90-264V Output DC5.0 - 500mA.

I have searched high and low on various sites but each time I find one with the required 500mA output the reviews relating to quality are frightening so I would appreciate it if anyone can recommend a make & a supplier where I purchase one. I'm getting a bit worried as I need a new one to take on holiday in 3 weeks time as the one that I have requires some precise propping up of the battery to get it to charge properly and I will not be able to take my lap top.

I don't know much about ego's but it looks like you need a mains to usb adaptor.

Perpetua & Chrissie - Thanks very much for the links - I notice that you have also given me one for the psu charger too - the one that comes with the battery from Mr Smoke is just the psu bit without a cable. This means that I have to use a wall socket with enough space underneath to allow for the vertical battery. This is a far better idea - could you just confirm that it would be compatible for my type of battery, sorry but just a bit nervous when it comes to charging as some of the staff at Mr Smoke whilst very pleasant don't fill you with confidence when you ask a technical question!

One of my main reasons for joining this forum was to get some help from those with a bit more expertise
