How do you work out the resistance/number of wraps/coil diameter etc decoy?

O_oi just make them and try
got to admit .16 round .2 wire is my fave for small builds and i norm do 5 wraps round a 2mm bit and they tend to be around1 to 0.8 ohms
but i just mess about till i find what i likes
the ones in the pic are .16 wrapped round .3 and the atty came out at .5 ohms and will happily run at 50 watts and oozing flavor and vape but a bit tight on the airflow so of to get some .2 tomoz

I just gotta say, I love your style decoy. Nothing wrong with tinkering 'til you get what you want. I do it a lot myself.

Took a fair bit of persuasion to not short when built up in the kayfun though.
