No thats the odd thing everything else is fine. It even lights up when you plug the usb in, it just wont charge. that sounds like the fuse from what other people are experiencing, the green film doesn't always go either. Surely if the fuse had blown it would cut the power from the battery, wouldn't it?

You wouldn't be able to vape at any significant power, but the board will power up from USB so it can be updated without fitting. I would think it more likely it is one or more of the 4 resistors near the USB socket I know people who put the balance socket on the wrong way have damaged these also there are vias next to the negative battery pad that one guy bridged solder to and blew these.

Anyone thinking of building their own 200 a word of warning GET YOURSELF A BATTERY CHECKER. Ive have just buggered two boards with this effin battery. Dont know whats wrong with it but its messed up the charging circuit on 130 quids worth of gear. You have been warned. What did you do? look at it? Is it a vamo? Is it a lavatube? Anywhere near water or a flapjack machine? Send it to me...I'll destroy said battery with style Sorry you've lost £130 worth of kit - but at least you have your new squonker Jane

Im going to ask evolv outright to exchange the boards. Agree mate, they give no choice but 3cell lipo batteries, so protect the board or guarantee it.

What next want you're car manufacture to cover you for putting petrol in a diesel that is completely crazy, the board is fully protected by any reasonable definition of that term. It has a fuse, connections that prevent a battery being connected incorrectly, buckets of battery management and protection, but you can hold them responsible for mistakes made by the user (including fitting a faulty battery if that is what did it). The 2nd failure may have been avoided if Windows had kept talking to them last week. Luckily they are nice people and going to change them both where most manufactures would just blame the user. I don't know if it was the battery, but would seem likely as 2 boards have gone in the same way and as far as I can see are the only ones out of thousands to do so in this manor.

So what does this bucket load of protection do then?
