Yeah a mate who does understand it told me that on paper, anything below .2 is dangerous territory even if your battery can handle lower but in practice they don't seem to blow up going lower. He builds ridiculous stuff like .08 using Sammy 25Rs and has never had a battery vent on him. I'm not brave enough for that personally. You can also drive your car with no seat belt on but I wouldn't advise that either That's not bad as long as he knows his pulse rating and the length of time the pulse rating is for.. But it's always safer too stick with the continuous rating

I would always stick to the continuous rating it is easy for a mod to get knocked over or roll down the back of the sofa and if it also fires...

my advice is if you dont have a basic understanding of ohms law them put your mech away until you do. get an ohms meter and some decent batteries. 20 amp minimum, 30 amp preferably. try building around 0.6 first and get used to checking for shorts, hotspots, wicking and airflow then reduce your resistance but not until. i dont mean to sound like a drill sergant but i feel you arent quite ready to be building low ohm builds. it doesnt take long to learn and safety is a must.
enjoy

Read, read & read some more. Watch youtube vids. Youre build is going to directly influence: 1) the stress on your battery 2) the quality of vape you will get 3) your battery life As a long-time mech user I would say that remember that you are just always getting around the 4 volt mark. Too much coil and it wont heat up quick enough. Too little coil and it will heat up fast and burn very easily. One of my personal favourite builds for mechs is dual coil - 6 wraps of 24awg around a 3mm bit, comes out around 0.3 ohms (just under) - its a very happy balance Ive found between being safe, getting a nice vape and the battery lasting me half a day Good luck mate, you dont need to understand everything completely but you need to understand the basics. Steam-Engine is one of the best tools you can use, get used to all of the tabs!

What mod do you run your RDAs on currently? Only cause you may find a mech underwhelming if you're not planning to build low.

Well if you have 200w to play with then y.ou're probably better off sticking with a regulated. Especially if you're not planning to build low.
Mechs perform best with very low builds. A 0.3 build will draw 58w but with a regulated you can pump more through it.
A mech will only deliver what the coil wants so it's all governed by your build.
Big difference with a mech though is that, as far as I understand it, with a mech you can force he battery to put out more amps than it is rated for. Which is the dangerous bit.

I would not say it was a waste banditruss at least you now know which is the best way to go rather than spend out on more bits you might not use. Oh and is that a 6 or a 1200 ????? the old gsxr 1100j cams fit in the 1200 engine and make quite a bit of difference
