Taken from Flavourart UK's newsletter . . . . . " We are now into the final transition phase which has been brought about by the TRPR 2016, the set of UK regulations spawned by the EU Tobacco Products Directive. This means there will be changes in the products we can sell up to 19.05.2017, after which the regulations will be fully implemented; meaning after that date, the maximum Nicotine strength that can be sold legally is 2% (20mg/ml) in bottles no bigger than 10ml and with each bottle displaying an EC-ID to verify it has been fully tested and notified in order to comply with the regulations. Just for your information, the cost of achieving compliancy for 50 Flavoured Eliquid in 3 Nicotine strengths is around £225,000 plus £9,000 per year 'maintenance' fee. We will be clearing existing stock to make way for the 'new' stock, which will be exactly the same quality, but which will have a label with an EC-ID to say that it is compliant.
Make the most of what is available as when it is gone, we will only be selling 10ml bottles in 18mg/ml, 9mg/ml, 4.5mg/ml. "
Brings the reality home doesn't it . . . . and no wonder that for many smaller Vendors this burden of cost is just too much for them. www.flavourart.co.uk/trpr-update.html
