Every tinkerer of electronics should have some of that IPA beedee No idea about the pen thingie though Ah, I had not been able to access the link because their site was down, so I had assumed that it was Silicone/Acrylic/Polyeuthethane Conformal Coating (SCC) that @broadblaster had linked to - I already have Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) which I use for lots of little cleaning jobs, it's wonderful for getting off sticky label gunk from juice bottles!, though I orginally got it for cleaning the PC. The pen is a way of applying the SCC which: 'Protects electronics from moisture, corrosion, fungus, thermal shock, and static discharges' - I think the DNA version of the BB already has the chip coated with this or similar stuff, but I've got the 70watt version that does not.

Mixed some samples of VTA flavours @ 6ml: Gold Rum, Bourbon, Lemonade Solo, Red Dates and Cola. Also two 25ml test recipes - Chamomile Gin (just love that VTA gin..) and my take on the Absinthe Suisse Cocktail - a slightly creamy absinthe with a hint of orange arrangement (or that what it's meant to be...). I also did a 45ml of Roots - a Sassafras and Licorice mix that is really nice.

I know exactly what you mean about the Lemongrass Perpetua - I think it's a very authentic lemongrass flavour but that earthy note is a bit difficult to handle in a mix, it's tainted every mix I've tried it in so far - I have persevered with it as it's the only lemongrass I have, but, if this one does not work out, I'll be on the hunt for another one!

I'm led to believe that new cells require a few recharge cycles to "get up to speed". No idea if true, but thought I'd put it in. I've found they start to improve with around 5 cycles. I know lots swear by the Samsungs and mine are OK, but I prefer the LG HG2 for battery life and good hits and the Sony VTC5 - but mostly use the latter in mechs. This is probably very subjective as I've never done any tests or anything...

Thanks, @broadblaster, I may give this a go if I ever have to take it apart again. The site was down when I looked but these look like they might do the job.

Glad you have it up and running, apparently some cleaning between the up and down buttons can help if its juicy they might be a bit stuck? I went to take back plate off myself to check interior and it seemed stuck fast so I got a hold of window edge and the plate flew off, taking screen and its attached ribbon with it! After testing the screen I was shocked but happy it still worked but then I had to set it up with ribbon going through from back to the front and into the clip on dna chip over an hour it took me, using toothpick and ceramic tweezers and about 30+ attempts but I finally got there was so SO difficult as the chip is almost flush to box and there's a lip, and ribbon had to slot under about 2mm from edge, I did it in the end but was almost crying with frustration! I wont be touching my other billet boxes......Me neither. Looking at the piccy its a bit of a miracle you got it back in , Pepperty. It was difficult enough getting the screen in with just the front cover off... Am now relieved the allen key got stripped on the back cover of mine or I'd have had the same problems!

Hi all, I haven't been on here for quite a while and I'm ashamed to say that I went back to smoking the stinkies. I won't go in to details but just to say something happened in my life that made me quite depressed and stressed out and I found myself slipping. I'm not doing too bad now and starting to get back to normal and want to get back in to my vaping and once again give up the stinkies. I've been digging out some of my old kit and still have a lot of my old juices in the cupboard which after sitting there un-touched for about 6 months smell absolutely amazing. The thing is I'm running out of RA and want to mix some more but the RA concentrates I have (about 150ml worth in 4-5 unopened bottles) say they're only good until March 2018 Do you think it is safe for me to still use those concentrate? Will my nicotine still be good, its been sat in the freezer for about a year as I stock piled before the TPD and haven't opened them? Thanks and please don't hate me for using the stinkies. No way, amygx, all sinners at one time or another here! By the way, I have concs going back to 2015 that I still use and they seem fine to me...

25ml Triple Berry Eton Mess - posted by Perpetua a while ago, finaly got the Innawera Blueberry - a very nice flavour - so thought I'd try it in this mix
Its smelling very nice, Perpetua, unlike the lemon drizzle cake, where the lemongrass is just overpowering (even @ 0.7%!) - hopefully it will get better with steeping.

Working fine now but will only adjust wattage upwards (you can scroll upward to get back to 0), however, I reckon this could be because my reassembly was not that that great. But fingers crossed, it seems to be a fix, so, if someone else has the same problem, this is something to try. The members here who I can remember having a BB are Perpetua , Pepperty and decoy , I'm sure there are others. Well done for your perseverance beedee ! Should the same problem afflict mine, then it'll be lobbed in the bin after being tenderly caressed by one of the few tools I own. not to my BB - I have attachment issues with it...

Good idea, Perpetua , I was thinking of trying some of the ones I have mixed together, but AP might be the answer to making them more like the real thing. If no-one else comes up with any much loved popcorns I have not tried I'll have a go at this, also I wonder if some Cappella Cereal 27 might be a goer... then again, something simple would be nice (for a change) - I have so many mixes I want to try!

Fancied a popcorn mix and I used to swear by FA Movie Theatre with a little sweetener - had to get a new bottle as my (very old) one had run out. I was very disappointed - seems now to consist mostly of butyric acid, not sure if my tastebuds or the concentrate, has changed. So bad I had to chuck the mix (and I don't normally do that!). So have been on the search for a decent authentic popcorn - have tried both VTA ones, with and without butter, they are OK but don't for me resemble popcorn, the same with the Flavorah, Capella and TFA air popped popcorn, I have the TFA Kettle Corn and will be trying that soon. Anyone have a really great authentic tasting movie type popcorn they have tried?

If you are thinking of mixing monty, I would probably go with the VTA latte @ (4-6% as it is fairly strong) and mix in some Capella Hazelnut at around 2%, but then I'd be tempted to fortify with a little shot (1% or less) of FA or BCL Espresso and say, 3% of FA or Cap Bavarian Cream... you've got me thinking, now....

Just to finish the story, unfortunately it all went downhill again and I was back to square 1 - tried your solution shiny, and seemed to work, then died again, so I bought another - this time with the DNA chip which is coated so should be a little more resistant to juice problems. I decided to have a go at looking inside the thing - went in from the back but one of the allen key screws was impossible to get out and I ruined the head in trying. Then I successfully got the cover of the screen off, and found it was absolutely soaked with juice where the buttons make contact, literally swimming in it, in spite of all the drying I'd done. I dried this up manually, gave it the airing cupboard treatment again, and reassembled it. Was a PITA job as it has a thin rubber membrane that keeps the buttons in, and you have to assemble it with this facing downward, so the membrane and buttons kept falling off - but I finally got it back on. Working fine now but will only adjust wattage upwards (you can scroll upward to get back to 0), however, I reckon this could be because my reassembly was not that that great. But fingers crossed, it seems to be a fix, so, if someone else has the same problem, this is something to try. The members here who I can remember having a BB are Perpetua, Pepperty and decoy, I'm sure there are others. Still, me happy because now have two functioning BBs, one set up with the Insider, the other with the Vapeshell. Also took a link from Pepperty and got some nice swirly replacement doors for one of them!
