I've cyber 'known' you two for a while now........and all the time I've said I'm on the move from this flat - three flights of stairs up etc.

Well now the time has come....... Grandson has been helping me throw out all my stuff - I have been ruthless!! I just chuck in black bags and he takes it to the bins.

It's like throwing away my past - I'm a dreadful hoarder. So many black bags have gone down to the bins.
Some things I can't part with, so have put them aside. But have been ruthless.

I look out of my windows and see sky - sunrise in front room, sunset from my bedroom.

Hell, what am I going to without that. Sky everywhere.

I know I will have to move to a ground floor flat as that is the conditions of Housing Association.

I have packed my bags - well nearly ( long time from really) - one more Art Show to go over the bank holiday weekend, with my lovely grand-daughter Emma

Not that I have agreed where I will go - I had one offer - I liked the complex because it is in my area, but it was a BEDSIT !!
Does nobody listen to me!! I still have load of baggage.

Oh, bye the bye: my mate Elvis - whom I'm sure I mentioned in the past , who lugs all my stuff around for me 'cos I don't drive suddenly decided he doesn't like the art world!!
Oh well, that's his choice.
He said he would like to continue being friends !!!!!!!!!!!!!! after about 15 years. But I don't know in which way. So I declined the offer.

Must admit to smoking real rollies at the moment Ughhh. MM

During the war, I lived with my aunt in Axminster, then through my teenage years, spent loads of time on the beach at Lyme Regis.

Fell in' love' with a guy from Charmouth. I can see him now. Mike Trott,
I eventually had to go back home in London.

Mike turned up on my doorstep in London a few years later - just about two days before I got married!! I rang his father to say where he was and that he was safe.

I left my mum to deal with the rest!!!!!!!

Do you think the council would I qualify for a transfer there!!!

As for having to move into a ground-floor flat, let's hope you have the compensation of a little garden or patio

But what a coincidence this is SO was just here to copy some stuff from his old PC and deliver a bit of shopping for me. He is supposed to have done what your grandson did, during these months while Bro is away but there's always something preventing it the same happened last year. If something radical doesn't happen in the next 10 days Bro will not be able to get in Oh well, I was thinking of changing the locks anyway

SO lives in a HA flat - when his father died he had to move out of the previous one cos it was 2 bedrooms, they gave him a choice of 2 flats, hopefully you will get some choice {{{{Madam}}}}

Yes Chrissie, I could probably ask for a transfer to another area but I want to stay in Southborough.
Two of my children and my grandchildren live fairly near here (The other one and his family live in Tenby) and I am central to my art societies. Bus stop right outside my flats - that's another thing I will miss - won't be that close in future.

Although I am chucking loads of stuff out, there's still loads I am keeping!! So don't know whether it will fit in wherever I go!!

Really I'm quite a believer in whatever will be, will be!! Just have to wait and see. MM

Plus I can also understand how hard it must be for you to move & get rid of stuff

Is there any chance of moving to another higher up/top floor flat with a lift?

LOL at James!! I did have my friend 'Elvis' for years, who at least lugged my stuff up the stairs but a couple of months or so ago, he decided he was fed up with the 'art world' so dumped me!!!! (As they say these days!).
I've been told he has recently bought a mountain bike - not sure of the reasoning behind that!!

Chrissie, yes I would consider somewhere with a lift, if the HA would agree it. The new list comes out tomorrow, so see what that brings. MM
