Keep an old knackered Ego battery specifically for the purpose ... You sent me one of your "knackered" eGo batteries long ago, and it's been my go-to battery when all others have borked, it's still going strong

Hello everyone! Not bad, it's only taken me one month to the day to post again. I shall take care not to post any more expired petitions, that was embarrassing (can't see a blusher among the smilies, Chrissie, that shows you weren't expecting me back ). I had sent it to Chris Packham only a few hours earlier. Hiya MM, good job I didn't hold my breath waiting for your re-call Hugs to everyone

Hi there Perpy, yes, I only discovered the petition yesterday but was too late forwarding it. I tweeted it to Chris Packham (I almost NEVER tweet!) and he re-tweeted it I had felt so honoured and then I felt a fool (a more familiar feeling ). He had asked people to report a Facebook page that was glorifying killing foxes by various means, it had to be reported as Graphic Violence and Facebook wouldn't take it down, didn't meet criteria. The target was 5000 sigs and they met it.

... asking them to add ANIMAL ABUSE to the report categories. Currently the only option is Graphic Violence, and Facebook deems that much animal cruelty does not meet the standard for that category. No comment.

And the item should go to the first person ON THE THREAD to comply with the seller's firmly stated terms...Sorry, but I'm going to strongly disagree. The only thing we have on these boards when buying and selling is trustNo it isn't, and neither should it be. What we should have is a strict procedure which safeguards both sellers and buyers and which does not invite favouritism, back-scratching, or wheeling and dealing.

I've been banging on for months, no years, to the effect that all communications re items for sale should take place ON THE THREAD, and only go to PM to exchange payment details - not price negotiation, but PayPal and despatch addresses.
And the item should go to the first person ON THE THREAD to comply with the seller's firmly stated terms, one of which should never be "payment by PayPal Gift" - PayPal fees should be factored into the asking price.

Hi there Scaff I've just done a review (in the Reviews subforum ) for a very cheap and tiny VV passthru but it only goes up to 4.8v. Convenient though, I love not having to charge batteries, so might come in handy while you're thinking about spending £££ Despite e-cig juices not going thru the testing that prescription drugs have to, there's been a lot of unofficial investigation of the effects of heating PG/PEG/VG, don't know what the base constituents of ISO oil are and whether the same can be said ??? I realise I'm not walking in your shoes.

I gave all my baccy away (and I had a LOT) after the first 6 days when I decided to go 100% vaping. Am so weak-willed it was the only way for me. That probably wouldn't do you much good though, Pam, as your OH is there with smellies to hand over

I'm blaming sticky tar from ciggies In my time I've seen inside quite a few desktops that have been attacked by ciggy-smoke over a long period - not a pretty sight I wonder if it would help if you used a rubber glove or similar to improve your "grip" (I mean with the flat of your hand), I have some non-slip sheeting which helps with lots of things, from jars to changing the voltage on my Twist. Or, what about spraying WD40 into the "seams"? It must be so frustrating using your old laptop

If/when my old Asus gamer dies (and it should do soon, it's been recording 24/7 for the past 18 months and it was used for gaming before I bought it ) I was thinking of getting an M17x (second-hand of course). But the whole M**x range takes a pasting re display quality, ie colours rather washed out, and that's my experience with both my M11x's. Then there's the weight to consider Anyway, Jemmy, thanks for reminding me that I downloaded the service manual, which is as much use as a choc teapot because it doesn't unzip into a manual but to all the different components - jpg, gif, htm, css, you name it And there's no mention of a fan anywhere The engineer is coming on Friday, I've got to clear a space for him Maybe I'll take pictures.
