My new phone has just arrived. You would think that buying one with large letters keyboard etc would indicate a manual with LARGE print is needed?? No!!! The print is so small I will have to use magnifying glass all the time!!! Off to see what goes where..........................fingers crossed MMa

Hi MMa just wondering about the mobile phone you said you've just bought, how are you finding it? I'm asking on behalf of me mum who too has trouble with hearing. Was looking at those Doro mobile phones, any ideas? xx

MMa I think all the settings are controlled and programmed by the handset magicma..I think you can bring the cordless handset to your computer and program it to your liking whilst referring to an onscreen users guide: 710 Users GuideHow are you finding it by the way?

Hi Macca, sorry was out nearly all day yesterday. Had to move all my exhibition gear and paintings from the shed at old address to the new shed at new address!!! Took ages, so didn't come on puter. Doing Art Exhibition in open-air in Southborough over the Bank Holiday weekend, bound to rain!!!
Haven't had chance to try the to 710 Users Guide yet on line.
One important question?? Can I set up an outgoing Answerphone message?? That is one of the most important things for me 'cos I can't always get to the phone quickly if I'm painting etc. (ok I know I can take it with me!! But I dont always remember!!).
I'm lost again!! MMa

I let the young man in the shop choose it for me - I just said 'want something loud and easy to use' He switched everything over for me but I'm sure you would do that for your mother. I'm not completely in sinc with it yet but that is lack of time. But, I must say it does have good sized buttons to read and press and I can easily control the volume. So happy really. It is called Doro PhoneEasy 610 and I can read the manual easily with my normal reading glasses. Hope this helps. Cheers MMa

However, if you are with BT you can get BT answer by dialling 1571 which is free provided you make at least 2 calls a month. To setup a personal outgoing message on 1571, you can follow the instructions in the link below: bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8374/~/bt-answer-1571-on-your-home-phone

oh boooger!! I'll have a look at the links^^^later cheers Macca. MMa I didn't know you wanted an Answer phone magicma.. There are ebay sellers selling manufacturer refurbished 750's for under £15.00.. If you want to return the 710 to Argos and purchase one of those, let me know and I will link you...

Hi Macca - sorry to take so long replying - been doing real life things!!
Yes, Macca I would like to return the 710 - before I ordered it I'm sure I read something sounding like an answerphone in the blurb. Stupid me!! I have since read up about th 1571 link but don't really fancy that.
I have been trying to get all the packaging together to return - hopefully tomorrow.
How much is a new 750? I'm being lazy will go and have a look. Cheers MMa
