burnt cartomisers

Hi

Ive just bought some innokin cartridges and a bottle of puffin menthol ejuice. I filled the cartridge using the condom method and topped it off by dripping, after 10 or so puffs on it i starr getting the burnt taste. Ive refilled several times and this still happens. Is it a dodgy cartridge ?

I've never checked to see if a carto works before filling? I would have thought that would have meant firing them when dry, which could burn them? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick again here, Macca?

Just asking if you fitted it to a battery and fired it to make sure it works before filling it..

It should not be done with cartomizers and usually leads to a burnt taste..If you haven't then it's a carto that's not wicking properly, so a dodgy one.

Your filling technique sounds fine to me as well Maybe just allow them to stand for a while dor the juice to completely soak in before using.

Ive just opened another cartridge filled it and 20 puffs later same thing. Dropped amother 20/30 drops in 10 puffs later burnt taste again. Am i doing something wrong ?

Sorry to hear that you're still not getting along with cartos I'm not sure what else to advise apart from what has been said already, condom fill, top up from the top and let steep for a while before vaping and then top up regularly!

I do find this handy for getting the juice right into the filler

The Innokin cartomisers take a lot more filling than the Boge and Kanger (the wadding is much looser).

If you are using the condom method, fill the condom 3 times and it should soak the lot up, no problem and still take a few more drops in the top.

Then let it soak for at least an hour, before blowing through into a tissue to remove the excess.

Once burnt, you can't recover them so try it with a new one

Weird thing is, ive been vaping for 8 months previously tho i was using smokers halo cartridges and re filling them. I moved on to a larger battery 510 with basic cartomisers and again it was fine. Bought some innokins last week and started having these problems

Many thanks i've filled a new carto with the condom method twice and it seems very full (its leaked over the top) ill leave it to settle for an hour and then blow the excess.

Ok, i condom filled it 3 times and let it settle for an hour. Throat hit is now excellent however there is virtually no vapour coming out at all?
