Good afternoon I have just been reading some very interesting reviews of e-liquids on here but now I am a bit confused as they mention letting the juices steep. As soon as mine arrive I start using them - seems I'm doing something wrong ???

It depends on the juice, if you're buying anything that's mixed specially for your use, like Pixie's juice or Grizwalds then it should be left for steeping. Pixie states on her website and now on each bottle how long each juice should be steeped for. Grizwalds says at least a few days. However if you're buying old stock, most regular tobacco flavours, or imports like Dekangs then they won't need steeping as they will have been bottled a while ago. If the person you're buying from doesn't state it on their website, drop them an email. Or most bottles have a production date on
Also steeping isn't absolutely necessary, my nectar juice Raspberry dodge is supposed to be steeped for about 5 days, but I like it straight away. It's down to personal preference, steeping is advised as it gives the juice time to fully develop the true flavour

Yes, basically just leaving it in a dark cool place, a box or a cupboard and maybe give it a shake each day. I've heard some people talk of taking the lid off to steep it, Pixie I know advises against this and rightly so as oxygen wont help the flavour develop IMO.
one trick I heard to hurry the steeping process was to leave the bottle soaking in a bowl of hot (not boiling) water

Basically smokescreen all juices need a bit of time for the ingredients to chemically interact with each other. In the same way that wine improves with age, so do juices (although we're talking days here not years). Letting the juices sit for a while to mature (steeping) brings out the flavour and generally improves it. Take a look at booblay's excellent review threads and you'll get a feel for how individual juices changed in her opinion as they steeped longer

Got it now, thanks - TBH I'm not very good at letting wine sit either. The minute I buy it, I drink it # #
