Menthol Crystals

Bought some at long last, kept forgetting

Anyhowz, for the peeps who make their own Menthol, why is mine so weak ???

What I did was, took some, crushed them, added them to 5ml of PG, put the bottle with 5ml PG and the menthol into a saucepan of water, heated it, let it cool, tried it, nothing much to taste added more and did the same, again, nothing much to taste, added a spoonful, still only an average menthol

How much do I need? I have used almost half the container ???

Strange! They should dissolve on their own within 20mins - 30mins when put in PG. Crush and fill half a 10ml bottle with the crystals then top up with PG. Shake now and then and run the bottle under a warm, not hot tap for 30 secs. See if that makes a difference.

Lol Annie, I wish I could get that to happen it's that type of Menthol I am after, can I ask which ones you bought?

I got it from boots, it's Bells Menthol

I just got one small tub of Bells crystals and added the lot to a 100ml bottle of PG, kept on shaking until they were all dissolved. It didn't require any heat at all. I've now got a great menthol base for any of my mixes. It would blow your head off on its own, just smelling it makes my eyes water.

i disolve crystals in medicinal alcohol....the real alcohol...not the one with the aditions on a 1 gr to 1 ml ratio, works fine, 5 to 7 drops in a 10 ml bottle

Sorry to jump in but since its about menthol crystals i was hoping someone could help,

I have 10ml of menthol here but its too weak,Can i add some crushed crystals to the e liquid ?

Yes, no problem, but a little at a time until it's right for you.

After adding mine I put it in the microwave for a few seconds (no more than 3) helps it dissolve faster. Just be careful otherwise you get a kitchen full of vapour.

I use the menthol crystals from Boots. The easiest way I have found to dissolve them, is to add 5ml of PG to the 5gm plastic tub, put the lid back and place it in hot water. Give it a shake every few minutes.

It makes about 7/8ml of menthol concentrate, and it's very strong; so only a little is required in your juice recipe.
