Lots of life changes (no more Narrowboat for one) but things are settling down now. Still vaping, nearly 6 years now and mixing etc, just haven't had the time to contribute for a while.

I don't separate the top layer, just split the pad in two, so you get the more tightly bonded part with a nice layer of 'fluffy' on top of that. Always cut along the long edge, with the grain/weave, wet finger tips and just roll a small way along (enough to go through the coil) I find the rest eases through the coil easily then. This is the way I like to do it, I'm not saying it's the 'correct way' , but, it works for me. Used like this in KFL, Erl (full and mini) Lemo, drippers and this way seems to work really well in Kanger heads (PT/Evod type) Someone else may have a better way of using it, interested to hear of any other ways, I'll try anything once!!

I don't remove the top and bottom, but pull the pad apart into two pieces. I find leaving the top/bottom on makes it easier to work with, it also doubles the amount of pads you have. This may not be how others like doing, but it works for me. Wicking seems to be just right, but, as above YMMV. I have only used the Muji brand.

If you are buying Kanthal etc and just want to try Jap cotton StealthVape offer one pad free with each order, just remember to add to basket. It's one pack of 3 pads free with each order, even better

I presume that you want these for attaching the coil?? These are grub screw type, there is nowhere to trap the wire under ETA: I've just noticed that the posts have holes in them, so the above is immaterial.

Sorry Roger that wasn't meant to come across as a dig if it did No,no, not at all. I just thought you were being a bit harsh on yourself. I didn't see any dig in there at all.

I started at 36mg, I now mix at 8mg. I went 36-24-18-12-8 That is over nearly 4 years mind, so I've not rushed it. Not really noticed any change in flavour as I dropped.
