Hello guys,
Ordered some gear from the states, I've got tracking via USPS until it leaves the states but unable to track after that.
Anyone know how I can track the LN31xxxxx00US number once it gets into the UK?
Thanks
J

Seen this on ebay too-- Q. Is there a way to track surface shipping? A. When a package ships via USPS from the USA abroad, the seller must fill out a customs form. On the top of the customs form is a number (it usually starts with CP) that is trackable at the link below: www.usps.com/shipping/trackandconfirm.htm?from=home&page=0035trackandconfirmIf you enter the above number it should show which post office the package was accepted at. Once the item hits the border (in the UK or other country), there may be a way for you to track it in your postal system. In the UK, I understand you can plug the customs number into Parcel Force’s tracking below: www.parcelforce.com/portal/pwOr the other carrier it may be delivered with is Royal mail: www.royalmail.com/portal/rmIf you plug the above number into Parcel Force/Royal mail, they respond that they haven’t received the parcel yet. It is not reported which carrier the USPS delivers to. I’ve read it depends on the size of the parcel. Next time you’re in the post office, ask them whether they typically receive packages from the USA that are large in size.

LN numbers you can't seem to track once it leaves the US. Don't think it's part of the service. The CJ ones you can on the parcel force site.

Post from US seems to be coming in slower at the moment, I'm waiting an additional week or two for supplies. You could try ringing royal mail see if they can find it in the system.

Been on to Royal mail and parcel force, neither can track. Vendor has now replied, they are going to chase USPS and let me know what they find. They've said however that when they've had the same situation before, they've just been asked to contact RM

It is not revealed which service provider the USPS provides to. I’ve study it is determined by the dimension the package. Next time you are in the two, ask them whether they generally get offers from the USA that are large in dimension.
