PG always gives less vapour than VG darch, maybe you need a bit of VG in the mix to up the vapour content

If you're not getting much tobacco taste either, I would say that you need a stronger tobacco flavour to the one you've bought.

I'm using Flavourart Black Fire, Perique Black, Virginia, Burley and Latakia in different permutations at 10% I'll try again over the wet weekend.

IMHO, I find that fruit flavours carry better on PG, but…. You still need a bit of VG to create the vapour cloud, VG also sweetens the mix slightly and can enhance the flavours. I would try a 70PG/30VG mix with them to star with, and tweak from there.
Don’t forget to factor the carrier of the flavours into the calculations i.e. if its a PG based flavour or a VG based one, it makes a lot of difference, as flavours can make up to 20% or even more of the final mix. Looking at my stash, most of mine are PG based, but you can get VG ones.
Tobaccos, to my mind, always work better with a higher VG mix about 30PG/70VG, and I find combos (tobacco and fruits) usually work well at 50PG/50VG. When I make my own concentrate flavours, for example when I “home brew” and extract the tobacco flavour direct from tobacco leaves or cigars, etc… I always use VG as the extracting carrier. Tobacco and VG just seem to work well together (like bacon and eggs).
All the above PG/VG ratios, are just starting points, and my opinion…. Everyone’s ideal will be different. Also I note what you say about 0% Nic on PG only tobacco flavoured juice… TH comes from the Nic content (mainly), so you are up against it with 0% Nic to start with… PG can also strip a flavour on its own, so mix some VG in there and then slowly increase the tobacco concentrate % and see how that works. I would also advise that you use good tobacco concentrates, try some containing tobacco absolute or extract for stronger tastes.
It will come together, and when it happens, and you find that perfect mix…. It’s worth it.

Frogster it is only the tobacco flavours that are 0% nicotine to try to get a reasonable flavour to start with, my other mixes are 1.2% in a VG base but I will certainly try your sugestians. Dave

I am interested in doing this..Some pointers would be much appreciated, like tobacco leaf source method etc., I bought some Pueblo Organic from ASDA and I have a small quantity steeping in a 50/50 mix as a test for now..

I've being reading about this as well a lot of people link to www.leafonly.com/ for their tobacco leaves, however you will have to pay duty costs in the UK.

Thanks Kruger, I have that link from the reviews of the Grande juices and was hoping for a more local source in UK or Europe. Tobacco leaf packages will be quite big I think and I don't want to be stuck with a sack of tobacco leaves in my house..

Thanks... I found them last week and another one as well. tobaccouk.co.uk/tobaccouk.co.uk/tobacco-for-sale.phpThey will be more expensive I guess, but you can buy small quantities which is what I was looking for.Neither site mentions anything about the leaf being organic though, so dunno. Worth a punt @ £1.50 I thought, so ordered. I'll wash it down a bit before I soak.
