Vapefest 2012 ~ Allabout's Live Broadcast

Appologies ,this is a cut and paste reply but i have been answering hundreds and hundreds of pm's and emails all day and im totally typed out now


Thanks for all the kind words peeps. The decision made has nothing to do with the 2 moaners (and it really only was 2) I made that post on ECR just to show people a little insight as to how we formed the commitee and how we planned each event and to answer a lot of questions without having to individually and of course why we were stepping down.

The descision was made over dinner on saturday night. Its 100% just the fact of costs and numbers. We could have just done the same again next year, but going by the increase in numbers since fest 1 ,an event next year could see an attendance of 2000+ making the venue grossly undersized. Ive looked into bigger venues and indoor conference places but then it goes into silly money and i mean upwards to 25 grand.

I really do hope someone will take it on, but i see the only way for this will be a vendor supported event. The big vendors are turning over millions of pounds a year so they will be the only ones able to stand the costs. I liked our way because it was vapers for vapers, vendors for vapers isnt what we want to be involved in, but i would certainly attend it.

Anyway thanks to everyone who attended and thanks to all the vendors who supported. We couldnt have done it without you all.

i hope they do one next year, i'm still fairly new and couldn't make it this year but would really like to go to one next year. would be such a shame if they called a stop to it

Wayne this was my first fest so i can only comment on this, you and the team did a stirling job mate so a huge thanks from me.

Its a shame that you are all stepping down but i understand your reasons, all the best mate and thanks again for a superb day.

I had the
Most lovely time at Vapefest. It was my first. I loved the venue and the food. I met some fabulous people including DiscoDes, Jayjay, River, Perpy,Gordy, Jemima, Jax, Gordy, Jason(Ve), Aaron (vapouriz), Nigel (T-juice), kuro, Ellen, Bluefish. Meeting Steve and Bel again was super too. I apologise if i missed anyone Jason, thank you for all the freebies you gave us.
I came home with loads of new eliquids to try. All the vendors were smashing. I bought one battery, which was very good of me. The rest of my money was spent on booze!

If like to thank Wayne an everyone else behind the scenes for making the event happen. I would happily at an entrance fee, as others have said.

I will post some pics soon, although I've sent them to Jayjay and he may beat me to it cos I'm useless with photo bucket!

Long live Vapefest and all the lovely vapers.

Looks like everyone had a fantastic time & that the team that worked so hard to put it on, made a really great job of it. A shame that the baton has to be passed on, but good luck to the next Vapefest team.
