Hello people, Ok can the ggts gurus take a look at these photos. Its the thread for the button switch on the base. It was like this when I got it. Is difficult to see but the thread doesn't look too well? I wasnt too bothered about it coz I got it working and working well. (eventually)! But as was re inforced at vape fest, on a fully charged 18490, I'm getting 2 hours of proper chain vaping. Thats hit after hit of easy operation. And thats at 9 volts on the kick. 2 ohm coil. And a 1100mah aw battery. Then I get the ppsst ppsst. I crank the thread a touch either way, or try and manouvre the button, and I squeeze out abit more. But thats hassle and I just usually change the battery. I was gonna buy a new one at the fest but shortage of funds I thought no. What thinks you?

Oh, thought id add, I usually have the air control just a gnats cock away from fully shut which I guess adds temperature to the mod, but unsure if that will have any effect on battery drainage. 2 hours seem ok?

I take it by 9v you actually mean 9w? even so that's still a lot of power to ram through a 2ohm coil so the battery isn't going to last too long particularly when chain vaping . I put about 4v or 7.5-8w through my 2ohm coils and can get a good 6 hours normal vaping from an 18490. If you have that airflow control closed that much then it is going to get very warm in there because there isn't any flow over the coil to dissipate the heat. That thread looks ok in the pics, if the switch screws in properly then it's fine. What you may be experiencing is the battery once depleted will when left for a while recover a little of its energy. Also, if things are getting very warm due to that juice control the thermal protection could be activated on the kick. It's very possible given that you are chain vaping. Try a lower resistance coil and open the airflow a bit.

Yeah sorry I meant 9 watts.
I've just turned it down to 8, then 7 and a half. I can see the difference. Ill give that a go.
The thread goes in fine no problem. Just unsure if it looked re tapped.
Yeah johnny boy, I've had the ggts a while now and love it. The best. I need to get a new plate type thing. Oooh another question while I'm here,
The plate doobree flip flop that touches the kick and goes up and down. I snapped the rubber washers, or maybe there plastic? Teeennee little blighters they are. I took that part of the ggts apart when cleaning, and they broke. Its the pole that has a circular disc one end and pushes up to connect the pole of the ody, you know the part? Well inside the plastic surround that the pole runs through are the teennee washers. Now there is now no resistance on that pole. It just goes up and down in the wind. (unless its all put together) Can I buy the little tiny plastic blighters, or a new complete cap doobree flip flop? Thanks

I think I was smoking it too much like a ciggy. Short bursts. Hence not seeing the power over kill as much. Cheers mate.
