Ok, I believe I have this sorted.
Followed Blakeys tutorial to the t. Still airy draw. Could see nothing wrong.
However,
I believe I wasn't tightening it down hard enough onto the provari. I was doing it as tight as I do the viva nova. Which was basically just touching. The penny if I screw down reasonably hard, I get the tightness. Thats with about a mm of pokey outee of that centre pin. That sound right?

If it's tightened the draw jayjay then yes, it's right. I find if I tighten down the base first, then the ceramic housing until it just fires, I get the right draw. There may not even be a full mm of centre pin, just a smidgeon

The shoulder of the penny looks flush against the provari. And if I tighten it a smidgeon more, I can't breath through the penny at all! Thanks

With all the technical talk around the Penelope threads I think a smidgeon of pokey outee is the best description And the technical term for that final smidgeon is inverted hamster cheeks (thanks ellen)

I have a hairs whisker sticking out from the end of my penelope's , Jay- if you put penelope on the mod and tighten it all the way down before you insert the ceramic section then that will effectively cut all airflow. Then screw the ceramic housing in until contact is made an it fires up. Lock down the ring and put the mouthpiece on and try it, you'll find that there's zero airflow. From that point release the lock ring a little and you can unscrew penelope a tad and then screw down the ceramic housing til it fires again. That is minimal airflow. Failing that the block off one of the mall holes in the 510 connector and that will restrict any inbound air. As an after thought, on your penelope does the base have two ridges running end to end either side of the 510 thread? Most are completely flat but I have seen a couple that have these ridges or channels, the mk2 ody has them as standard, if yours does then blocking one or two of the holes will be the only way you can tighten up that draw. this is the base that completely flat on a penelope and the ody on the right has the channel in this pic, the one on the left is flat to give you some idea of what I mean

No mine is completely flat blakey.
Where I was going wrong was not tightening the penny down onto the mod. I was just kinda namby pamby screwing it, as this is what I've been doing. Contact gets made and then not giving it that next half turn. Makes alot of difference. Anyone who says penny is airy, certainly on a provari at least, is indeed wrong.
