Can vaping suppress appetite?

Just wondered, as smoking is ssid to do this! but when I smoked I couldn't lose weight but since I've been a serious vaper, I seem to have shaped up a bit?!? weird as I haven't been able to exercise much lately due to my aches and pains (another post) But I just don't feel hungry much! Maybe all the yummy flavours are keeping me off the choccies cakes etc, I don't know, but all good;-) Just curious if Vaping does aid weight control.

I actually know smokers who say they only smoked to keep the weight down, dangerous diet eh!

Sadly in my case, no it doesn't.

Before I quit smoking I ate everything that wasn't quick enough to escape my gob, and there's been no change.

I think it does suppress my appetite. I vape sweet flavours which satisfy my sweetie cravings. Difficult to cram in a bun while I'm plugged into my eGo & GGTB too;D

I think it depends what flavour I'm vaping TBH. I feel just as hungry as before with fruit flavours, but less hungry with others. ???

Just did a quick google search. As we all know smoking DOES suppress appetite but after a quick look around, apparently its the nicotine that does it (not the carbon monoxide, tar etc). So logically vaping should block your hunger pangs too. If its not, maybe your not getting the same amount of nic as you were when smoking?

Maybe the fact that food tastes sooooooo much nicer after giving up is the main reason! hehe

Ive gained weight I come home from work starving, I never used to bother until tea time. I'm goign to start bringing a tub of salad home with me to see me through, and just munch carrots because I love them.

Well I say that's what i'm going to do from tomorrow but lets wait and see

Blimey I'm always hungry now, I didn't realise quite how much I used the cigs as an appetite supressant until now.
I never used to have an issue about going without breakfast (and haven't had breakie for years) but I get to lunchtime and I'll eat someone's arm off if they get in between me and my food.
I do notice that mornings for me are when I tend to sit in a mist of vapour in the hope that it'll take my hunger away. Once I've eaten I can forget to pick up my e-cig for an hour or so.

I have found that The more I am vaping tobacco the more I eat, I am not getting my sugar fix from the liquid I used to.
Have put on weight but fortunately I can soon get rid of it doing pilate and yoga whilst watching telly and not eating cakes..cream,chocolate,jamaica any cakes I love. Going back to fruity and sweet liquids now just have the nicotine with my morning pot of tea.

i think it was booking that holiday to Turkey a couple of days ago that did it, I've just realised I will have to go out and buy shorts and swimwear. No way mine will fit me now....and no way I can lose it in 2 weeks either.

Ahh well at least I'm not smoking I suppose.

I know when I smoked the nasties I didn't feel hungry......... but since vaping.......... my appetite has increased

Ummmm you got me thinking now.......before stopping smoking I would have a big fry up at work at 10am, by 12 I would be starving again and have a couple of cheese rolls then a big meal at 6pm, plus crisps and choccy. Since stopping smoking fried egg on toast only, no lunch and not too fussed about dinner?? My other half is out this evening and I am only just now having 4 slices of toast as I forgot about dinner because I wasn't hungry.... Maybe weight gain won't be an issue ???

I am finding food taste a lot better since I have stopped the nasties, things I didn't like before I now love and visa versa, when I have tried to stop smoking before all I seemed to do was shove stuff in me gob especially imperial mints but that led to me loosing two teeth , so this time round no mints and no lost teeth .
