Penelopy Coil /Wick Prob!!!!!!!!!

Evening All,,
My magnifing glass came today and I made new wick/coil But she is reading 1.5 on the r o , What do you thing I have done wrong??

If its the pre-made ready wire, then 1.5ohms is perfectly normal. You didn't do anything wrong

Oh, Thats great news I thought it had to be 1.7. I must say it is going O/K but was worried that something was amiss.

The one I made yesterday with some ready wire is 1.6ohms. It will vary a little, as long as you don't have any error messages/shorts that's the main thing

You will also find with any coil, either pre-made or self assembled, that the resistance will increase as the wire gets gunked up over time. So, check the resistance now and again and adjust your voltage accordingly

I didn't know that Oneday, never thought to check my coils after the original build, probably why I change out my coils too often. I have 2 twists and am completely useless and boring with VV Thanks for the tip

Yeah I have checked my coils on assembly, say 1.4, then an hour later, 1.8 but I put that down to heat?

I think that can happen over a short period yes, but over a longer time I've definitely seen a sustained increase

Heat will affect the voltage resistance, but I never knew that gunkage (that sounds dirty would affect it too
