Yes I know, this is going to sound a really daft question, but it would be helpful to know. When you are not using your filled cartos, clearos, tanks etc, or when on of these are attached to your battery, do you stand them upright or just lay the down on a bench etc.?
I am, at the moment, building a plinth where all my (filled) cartos and batteries etc will have a slot to stand upright in, but I can see a time coming when I will have too much equipment for the available slots and so I need to know whether I will need to build another plinth, or can some of them lie horizontal when not in use?

Most of the cartos/clearos/tanks etc, are fine laid down. If you use short wick clearos, then they need tipping occasioally anyway, so leaving laid flat helps keep the wick moist

I tend to leave mine standing if they've been filled and are waiting to be used but if they are fitted to a battery, I usually lay them down.
