While I love my novas, sometimes I don't seem to get enough air through them. I think mine is the V2 version and I also think the later ones have the air holes in the knurled bottom grip. This won't do those ones.
So just having experimented with one, I worked out why they don't get air through that well and how to correct this.
The air is pulled through the 2 small air holes in the 510 thread, I started by expanding those, I have a small screwdriver with an attachment, which allows you to make small holes like this bigger, but you could use a drill if you were careful.
This didn't help. I discovered that the central pole which pushes into the bottom of the unit allows the air to come through 2 holes in it, then under the slot at the bottom of it.
So using a hacksaw, I enlarged the slot to allow more air to come underneath, then enlarged the 2 holes on the shaft, making sure to file them carefully to remove any swarf that would be left and could damage the seal you push it through.
It works! It didn't make it too airy, but just enough to make it better.
Hope this might help someone.

To be honest dont have a prob with mine own both v2 / v2.5 but found it differs depending which pv its attached to best one is my paps and worst is the v2 lavatube but found if i screw a plinth into the lavatube first it allows better airflow.
Good write up tho im sure will be of use to someone and do love these tanks so easy to use.
