Did you use half the leaves? If so, that all sounds just about spot on..... same as when I do it, and mine tastes OK.... well you have tasted it so you know.... 60/70 ml of tobacco extract will be enough to make you up a good 300ml of juice.... depending on how strong the extract is and how much you use. Yes as near as half as I could get, my nic is winging its way from the states, so it should be ok to try when it comes, which is what I am looking forward to will let you know how much is needed on its own first before using it with anything else.

Well Done Sandra.... First one to follow my method, Hats off to you. Everything sounds good..... all your answers are exactly as I would expect. If you are going to try the tobacco extract as a stand alone flavour, I have found it has a very subtle and realistic tobacco taste (as you would think ) but, some have said it can be a little dry on the mouth by itself. I think this is because, commercial tobacco that has been processed to smoke, has a number of additives and flavours added to sweeten it , this in turn creates more salvia in the mouth. We are using the tobacco extract we have made in its purest form, no additives have been applied to the leaves. The VG is sweet and this helps, but you may want to still add a bit of sweetener, or some ethyl maltol. But just try it first and see how you get on. You now have a good base to start making some nice tobacco based flavours, I love mine, and think it is far better than most tobacco concentrates you can buy, even if you need to use a little more… that’s the slight “trade off” we make for the gentle extraction process we have used. Well done again !!!

Thanks Froggy I want to try it on it's own, just so I 'know' the actual flavour it gives, then as you say I can sweeten etc add other flavours as I go, seeing as it's all natural really appeals to me, one day next week or so is going to be a very pleasurable day indeed, even if I need to play about to get the desired vape, afyer I try it, I will then add a sweetener to a bit to try and see what I think of it and then do one of your mixes on here as well, all a good starting point, me finks

There have been some questions asked about what juice calculator to use, what one is best, what one is simplest, etc. I am not going to advise that one is better than another, all I will say is this is the one I use for all my recipes, and find it very good. It is called “e-Juice Me Up” and is available free here:- breaktru.com/smf/index.php/topic,205.msg421.html#msg421 It comes with a load of free recipe’s already to make (some of them are mine)…. But, to make things a bit easier to understand, below is a screen shot of the calculator with a recipe already loaded in it for a mix that I make called “Vodka & Lime Zinger” . The flavours are not in the same order, but here is the same recipe from my mixing book. Here is a quick video on how to use the calculator And this link will take you to a small tutorial on how to use the calculator:- breaktru.com/smf/index.php/topic,205.msg421.html#msg421 Rather than me try and explain it all again…. It is very straight forward once you read this.

ps Is Vodka just used as a thinner to your juice?? Essentially yes John, but it does also help increase throat hit. You can also use de-ionised water as a thinner, but it won't enhance TH. I tend to have a bottle of ready thinned VG to use in mixes, just to save on a mixing procedure. Fruity Flavours with a touch of Dulce de Leche are another very nice combination for me, gives them a ice cream element.

Morning fellow mixers, Here is an adaption of an old recipe of mine using Cupcake world Coconut and Ethyl Maltol to make a rather good (if I say so myself) “Coconut Ice” just like the sweets, but without getting the coconut bits stuck in your teeth. Ethyl Maltol, if you haven’t used it before, is a sweetener with a cotton candy flavour, it usually comes in crystal form and to make a solution you simply dissolve about a ¼ of a teaspoon in 10 ml of PG… Very sweet, and yummy when you want that sweet type flavour in a mix. Enjoy…. I am on a roll, so more to follow…

Hi John, Perpy is spot on with her answer about the Vodka, I also thin my VG with some Vodka when I get a new bottle of VG. I top it up with Vodka and give it a shake, makes it a bit thinner, and easier to use.
But sometimes I like to add a drop more, for incresed Throat Hit, depends on my mood.... it won't detract from the recipe flavour if you leave it out any of my mixes.

Here is another favourite of mine, a recipe I posted elsewhere on this site (Perpy, Please add to the Members mixes), I have upgraded it to the new format I use, but kept the mix the same. There is no reason why you could not use your own tobacco extract to replace the tobaccos used in the above recipe (if you have it), but it will obviously vary the flavour, so some adjustments will be required. .

Yes you can add it John..... it is just a "extra shot" if you like, just to boost the throat hit, it is up to you if you want to leave it out, it really won't make any difference to the flavour.
All the recipe's are my preference, don't be afraid to experiment, you may well find a little more of this, less of that, something added or subtracted makes a mix you like better.
