Hi all ,
Over a month now and stinky free but , although I'm extremely happy Ego C 1000 upgrade batts and Kanger cartos , I reckon I need to step up to a variable voltage mod . I've been looking about various sites but one that has caught my eye is the Gripper and was wondering if anyone here has/is using one and their thoughts about it's performance before putting one on my Xmas list .
kind regards Greendollar

Not tried a Gripper, but have read positive reviews on it greendollar Why not try a Twist......... most on here recommend these for first steps into VV and they are good and not at all expensive, Jason has them for £14 - 15 on his site........... or there is the Lava Tube. Depends on what you want to spend on it, the Twist is the cheapest option

Thanks for the reply Esme ,
Costs are not important as it's the missus that's got to buy it (Xmas) , I would request a Provari but as we're expecting a new arrival the first week of Dec so I don't want her spending to much on me I'm looking to getting something different to the Ego's and I do like the look of the Gripper and can see it fitting comfortably in the hand rather than holding on to a tube .

If its the rubberized Gripper you speak of ,thats a good mod, however there have been reports of the rubber wearing off, battery covers losing hinges and general problems earlier than one would normally anticipate, thats the Smoktech one anyway, not sure about others, you could go for the throathit VV, if you can find one, very robust and very good reviews. my .02c

Another vote for the twist, its good priced and reliable. A good start VV, which I carry when I go out and about (while the provari sits at home ).
