1st day with Penny Taken apart, washed and rewired. The draw is very light so I started to play about with the position of the center pin. Lost about 4ml of my favourite juice and only have about 5ml left. Because of my faffing I had accidentally managed to unscrew the nut that holds positive wire, this seems to have resolved the issue but I have just had to spend the last 3 hours using a very nasty liquid on a trip out because I didn’t want to lose any more of the nice stuff. A few hours in now and I think I am starting to prefer the light draw! I was a little apprehensive due to the cost but it is awesome, flavour and vapour are so much more pronounced. I was also concerned you can't change the mouthpiece but it's perfect. The flow control seems to only need about 1/8th of a turn, is this normal? I have been using 24mg nic from day 1 and think I may need to reduce it, this is blowing my head off :-) I expect I could just up the ohms as it's only 1.5 at 3.3v atm. My only niggle is I wished the bottom part had some etching on it, it can be quite hard to open or close it when covered in juice. All in all, very happy ;-)

Wrap a rubber band around that bottom section if it's too slippery with juice. That'll give you the grip

What battery/mod are you using the penny on Ant? I had issues with it on a Ego twist. Sound advice from Blakey and a plinth sorted that out for me. I can now get it so tight you cannot even draw on it! I can also adjust the draw using the plinth, which is quite handy!
Re the juice control, I have mine open only ever so slightly too. Probably a 1/4 turn at most, any more and she gurgles!

I find the juice control varies with the wick and the juice. If you use a thicker wick you need more juice getting to it. Also I find that 70/30 juice needs the control open half a turn, and 50/50 needs three quarters

Serves me right :-) It was fine even though a light draw that I'm starting to like now. Redid it with the extra wick and buggered something up as it tasted burnt. Done it again and now the flavour is really strong! I can live with that for now:-) Dirty, I got it on a lavatube and cant use anything else as the ohms are too low. I have the whole weekend free to practice, when the F1 isn't on

Gratz on buying a shop Skwoddy Heh, DIY has been in progress a while now. I spend about £50 on flavouring but the problem is most juice needs to be steeped before use. I ordered 100 mix bottles from China for £30 (going to split with my brother), once they get here I can go MixMental :-) And since the Penny tastes so different it looks like I need to start from scratch. I had some Grizwalds mix'n'match that I thought where too bland, time to give them another try :-)

It seems to me that whenever a new gadget or gizmo comes out there is a lot of interest generated by the hype, most of which is never justified. When I first started hearing about the penny I started a thread called 'penelope fever' asking for some un-biased advice on why I should buy one. That became a huge thread but it convinced me that here was something different, something worthy. It's hard to imagine how good this thing is until you have used it, and I don't imagine there will be much coming along that beats it.

Only six weeks for me OneDay but I kept buying new stuff only to find I would go back to the Boge Cartos. I think the Penny is a good investment, on the Cocomel by Griz now and liking it.

Congrats on your Penny ant, she is a lovely thing to have When I got mine I thought I would never get her up and running lol but now she is working so sweet! Made a new wick and coil this morning, worked first go, usually have 2-3 tries before it works, must be getting the hang of it
