hi guys , last week my mates ego t batteries started to play up , whilst he was vaping on them they would cut out mid vape but the light would stick on for about 8-10 seconds , he binned the batteries and gave up on vaping and decided to go cold turkey , now one of my batteries has started to do the same thing , im not about to give up on vaping so im on the lookout for a better battery but is there anything i can do to rescue the faulty battery , its an ego t 1100 mah.

It sounds like the battery centre post has been pushed down by screwing something on too tight. Take a look at this thread

ok on closer inspection the connection does look different but it works the same as in the video , got my screwdriver out and had a fiddle and it popped back up so just want to thank you onedayillquit for the tip , i almost threw it away . my mate will be gutted he threw his away now

Glad to help, what a shame about your mate It's such a common problem - things really don't need to be over-tightened on these batteries, just enough to make contact this should be a sticky in the noobs section My tip is don't screw atomisers/cartomisers onto the battery too tightly. I've seen people say this lots of times. Thats exactly right, most damage is done to atties when they are screwed down too tight onto a battery, firstly you run the risk of joining the contacts inside the attie causing a short that will then in turn take out the switch on a riva type battery or very quickly heat up a battery on a mechanical type mod and secondly you run the risk of pushing in the center contact post on a riva type battery so that other atties won't make contact. Just screw them on till they start to make contact and then stop Why proper instructions are never included with all this equipment is beyond me, it would save so many people so much trouble. oops already is
