You could always put him on a raw food diet.....
He looks adorable.
Mungo, and now Toby, are still raw fed.
Daisy the cat also has the occasional raw meal. She's 15 so haven't pushed her. She can eat whatever she wants.
Have to say that I would probably feed a new cat raw food...
Oscar has a very sanguine look about him, reckon he'll be ruling the roost before too long!

Aww...Nobbys a lovely cuddly looking kitty 😀 I stopped raw feeding when Tyson died Lynn, it was getting to be really hard to source good quality meat, I might think about it tho...

Lilac, another thing that can cause blood in urine is struvite stones, but again he is a bit young for them to have formed. However, I also would never wait a couple of days after seeing blood in urine because if it is struvite stones causing it, they can completely block the urethra in a male cats.
Hope you got on Ok with him at the vets today.

The vet gave his bladder a wee squeeze and saw for himself how bloody it was, so he gave him an antibiotic injection, hopefully make him feel a lot better soon... thanks for all the advice, feeling a bit out of my depth at the mo  I'm hoping he doesn't have problems in the waterworks department, and this is a one off...what are your thoughts, people? xx |
