Hi guys
Having a problem with my Nova. Was vaping away happily on my new ego-v battery - vaped a full tank, took it off, refilled and cleaned, put it back on - and nothing...
Took vivi off and put it on my twist - vapes fine. Put a spare mini-nova on my ego-v - vapes fine... checked that center pin is lifted - it is, and it works with every other cart or tank i've since tried...
So I have a vivi nova which works on all batteries apart from my fave, and a battery which vapes everything except my fave tank... grrrrr!!!!
Any suggestions? - or have they just had an unresolvable argument and like two friends who have argued, do I now have to see them both separately... ???

It could be the centre post in the battery or on the nova, you can try pulling them, try cleaning the battery connector with some tissue.
I know this sounds stupid but is your battery charged? Or even switched on? Sometimes the stupidest things are the solution lol

All connectors are clean, batteries are fully charged - they both work on all other set-ups - just not together...
Can you pull the center post? - I would have thought it will just pull the top seal downwards (if its possible at all)?

Gently prize the battery center post up just a tad with something like a toothpick, it sounds like your battery post isn't making contact with the nova.

Blakey - I have used a small screwdriver to do this - it seriously won't come up any higher...
What I don't understand is why it has no trouble firing when connected to the mini nova, cartomisers, clearomizer or smokymizer... its just my vivi nova that it won't connect to!!
I read ramkanwar's reply as talking about pulling down the center post on the Nova - is this possible?

Is the nova working on another battery? if not then it's very likely that when you unscrewed the top of the nova to fill it the attie became a little unscrewed at the same time. Try removing the silicon seal on the attie and using something to tighten the attie down a bit. If this doesn't work then you'll need to remove the attie section and clean out the center post section of the nova as it may have juice inside it.

The Nova is working fine on my 3 other batteries (2 riva's and an ego twist).
The Ego-v is working fine with all my other atomisers, cartomisers, etc etc its just this particular vivi nova - which is the only large tank I have.
Its not a major issue - just strange and I'd love to know how to resolve it!!

I realise this combination was working before but most probably the one Vivi which will not work is squashing the insulator behind the center pin and shorting it or the center pin of the NOVA is just a touch too large and shorting causing the short protection to prevent the battery from firing. If it does, most likely one of the above two which has possibly caused a tear in the insulator.
These are mass manufactured so tolerances are a bit lax..Try only one rotation at a time slowly and see if it will fire when the NOVA is not tightened down all the way..

In that case then the battery isn't making contact with the nova OR when you screw the nova on to the battery it's maybe causing a short or a break in the connecting wires. Do you have a 510-ego adapter to try? that'll confirm the battery contact question

Unfortunately I don't have an adaptor as I've never needed one before (mind you they're only cheap so I might add one to my weekly order from Jason!) Does this mean I've possibly damaged my battery? If so can I just say "BUGGER!!" as I only just got it, and I prefer it to the twist!! I 'll have to check again when the wife gets home - she borrowed the ego-v and has been happily using it all day, so it can't be too broken. Anyhoo, cheers to all you knowledgeable types for the help and advice!
