When I first started vaping, and knew it was amazing, I just wanted to refine it more and more. I bought different models, more juice and more atties. I spent loads of money! I favoured sweet tasting juices over tobacco ones, bought big battery mods and hated all the faffing around with topping up carts or dripping. I wanted a constant supply of juice to my attie. A year later and I have settled down a bit. I like the ritual of 'topping up', I prefer tobacco flavours to sweet ones, and my concern now is for the longevity of atties! I suppose what I am saying is that, unless you want to be a 'collector' of hardware, hold back until gizmos and gadgets have been tested by others. Your tastes and priorities will almost certainly change in the coming months.... Lynda Brilliant post Lynda, which also sums me up as to where I am with vaping hardware . . . last year, I went barmy - blew most of the savings I'd made by not smoking, but I was on a mission. Got enough gear now to feel 'secure' and I'm determined it will have to be something exceptional that tempts me this year. Very much looking forward to hearing what you think about the 101 though Ian, I will nag for a review proper.

Looking forward to it Ian, if you upload your picture into Photobucket, re-size it and then copy & paste the IMG code in your post, it should be all ok.
Failing that, if you want to email your picture to me, I can happily do it for you.

Haha great post Lyn! Reading through this it's so funny to see how many of us have had similar experiences. My own journey was also remarkably similar - though I was always bearing in mind that the money I was spending I was already saving on cigarettes - so for me I never regretted the money I spent, and I got to discover what I enjoyed in an e cig and mess around with different attys (LR 901/ standard 501 yum, any 801 YUCK for me). The whole thing was a great experience, culminating to a point when I invested (after several mods, mini's, and Tornado styles) in a Prodigy V3, my most recent acquisition. At that point I figured I would cut back, as there wasn't anything specifically interesting to me, and I felt I had made a solid investment which will last me at least the next 12 months. (I calculated after all of this I have still saved money ) And yet here I find myself, reading up on box mods and potentially a "sit at home" liquid fed PV (In case any of you are interested, I use primarily the tornado tank, which is actually less of a hassle than one would imagine. For me it gives a smooth consistent vape with good throat hit and flavour and a tank lasts me most of a day. I do still switch between devices though depending on my mood ) This was such a wonderful culmination of posts in one thread, I just had to sign up, so nice to meet you all and I look forward to reading/posting more! Esi

Hello Esi & welcome to the forum. Thing is . . . there's always room for 'just one more mod'.

Haha so true, I think I'll always end up on the lookout. I just wanted to add that, the overall point I was getting at in my last post is that as long as you know how much you were spending on cigs before, and calculate a budget, you can more than sufficiently experiment with different devices and still save money.

Hello & welcome form me as well Esi I couldn't agree more - even though I have bought a few (though not that many) mods, I'm still saving a fortune compared to how much I used to spend on real cigs.

Yes there does MrL. My batteries for my GG's last several months. I bulk buy my atties via Perpy's EM bulk group order & just top up my stock pile of juice about once a month

I finally succumbed after hours of research to my next investment - a Phidias. The thing that swung it for me is the multiple 3.7V, 5V and 6V vaping options. I'll comment after I've had a chance to try it
