Hi all ,
I need help choosing the type of batteries for my Touchwood 18650 (when it arrives) . I must confess I'm puzzled as to which batteries I need , protected or unprotected , for the Touchwood . Common sense tells me that I should always be using protected batteries but is that really the case ? Also , rather than just use a 3.7 volt 18650 I understand that I can use x2 18350 to up the voltage , is that right/wise ? Is there any other variation of batteries I can use that you could recommend ? And finally , I was going to order direct from China ( HealthCabin) to try and keep costs down , how much do they charge for shipping on small orders ?
any help gratefully received
regards Greendollar

Moju do dedicated 5v batteries www.mojurepublic.com/products/5-Volt-XL-NIMH-Batteries-%28600mah%29.htmlThey do decent 18650s at a good price too. If you are going to use standard res cart/atties then protected batteries will be fine With very low res cartos though I have found that the protection circuits kick in on some batteries. To be honest, I don't mess around with battery safety, I go for panasonics or AW IMRs, they just perform as stated!

I bought some 18350's from Health Cabin and they were pants... Just get yourself some AW's from a good supplier and you will not be disappointed.
