Hi everyone, I am day three of vaping and no ciggys and woke up this morning and DIDNT WANT A FAG WOOOO HOOOOO! so really really really chuffed............but as usual I have more questions for you all! I have read lots of posts on steeping your juices and was wondering..... do you steep every liquid you get even if you like the flavour, or just steep the ones you think are a bit crap and could do with some help lol? how long do you steep for? I have seen alot of articles saying one day with the lid of your e-liquid to air then a week in a dark cool place with the lid on........do you agree or do it differently? thanks and really look forward to reading your views on steeping

Everything goes in a dark cupboard for a week before I put it in the fridge ready to use.

blakey I just saw a write up that said it could ruin your e-liquid putting in the fridge? is that true for some e-liquids and not others?

Han steeping allows all the flavour molecules to blend with the nicotine base and is a necessary part of making juice. However (there's always at least one 'however' to this vaping malarkey) if you buy mass produced juices like hangsen or dekang they have already sailed the seas so are well steeped by the time you get them. Juices mixed to order, eg Griz, Pixie, etc may benefit from a few days in a cool dark place. Pixie actually puts the "date of birth" on every bottle and recommends a steeping period. But - if you can't wait, it aint going to kill you

Some juices might only need a day or two, some might want a month.
you can speed it up, apparently, by placing your bottles in some hot (but not boiling water) for 20 minutes a day.

I stick to the same juice all the time. I make 200-300 mls at once and always make sure i have a new batch made up before im below 50mls.
As 50mls will last me 2-3 weeks thats plenty of steeping time.

oneday ty that really explains it...........so if you got a juice you thought was a bit yuck and you didn't get on with, would you then consider steeping it to see if you could improve it?

Yes, I have found that if I don't like a juice and I put it away in the cupboard it may have improved considerably when I come back to it, sometimes weeks later. Some juices though are just bad and no amount of steeping will make them into a good vape (for my tastes)
