I'll just say hello & welcome to the wonderful & confusing world of vaping. ;)Then I'll leave the more experienced to guide you, as I'm still learning.

I will say though, I only vaped tobacco flavour when I first started. After a week or so, I was onto different flavours & at the mo, I'm vaping cherry.....yum! With my butterscotch on the side.

Yes i found the elite very expensive, i used the starter kit which supposedley was equivalent to 200 cigs in 5 days! I didnt really use it that much either!!!

It's one of my biggest pet hates that e-lites & some other vendors make such over the top claims > It also doesn't help that the e-lite isn't compatible with any other e-cig parts.

The battery, when fully charged, will, or should, last a 20 a day smoker, 1 1/2 to 2 full days between charges.
All e-liquid flavours are taste subjective. What you like doesnt neccesarily mean we all like.
I hated tobacco flavours from the get go, but love caramel and coconut, with a hint of liquerice. My all dayer.

As a few others have pointed out a sample selection is the best way to start, that way you won't waste to much money if you decide you don't like the flavour. I bought a pic-n-mix from VapeEscape choosing flavours I ordinarily love, and I have to say that the two chocolate ones I chose I can't stand, and I love chocolate! So it just goes to show that its quite difficult to gage what you're going to like. Don't worry though, if you find you don't like any you can put a post on these boards in the 'swap' section and see if anyone else wants them in exchange for something else, so all is not lost. #icon_thumbsup#

I started with tobacco flavour as it seemed the natural thing to do, wasn't impressed so switched to fruit and other flavours, but now vaping sweet flavours, coconut ginger toffee at the moment, and tobacco based with other flavours added, and a warm welcome to this nice friendly forum by the way. Hey Maggie, I started vaping on Friday and although haven't smoked fags since to my amazement! I bought the Joyetech Ego **************/e-cigarettes/Joyetech-joyetechego/riva-joyetech-rivakit-joyetechkit-start%20kit- but although I really like it I have also now ordered the riva 1100 **************/e-cigarettes/Riva-vivalariva-starter/riva-boge-vision-pro-510 to smoke out and about as I think the Joyetech is a bit big for me and I would feel self concious, so I would go for the riva good for out or at home, also I had a huge thread on here because before starting vaping I wanted a tobacco like e-liquid but actually I am not really enjoying the tobacco ones and love the chocolate, fruit and caramel ones I have, it's really strange and I wouldn't have believed it till I started vaping! I would get perhaps a tobacco one for say the morning (that's when I really like the yukky tobacco tasting one!) and then choose several other juices in small amounts (5/10ml bottles if possible) to try and to stop you getting bored of the same taste all the time. I think it's suggested that a pretty heavy smoker will vape around 30ml a week........If I have that wrong please correct me anyone

That's about right - the average seems to be 3-5ml per day

I'm vaping about 2.5ml a day at the moment, and can't see me vaping more than that regularly

I'm obviously the weird one, as i've found i'm not even vaping 1ml a day at the moment, but maybe i've just not found my perfect vape juice yet.
