I collected a couple of motorbike handlebar grips that arrived when I was on holiday from the post office today. First off they're 2 different internal diameters, the one that goes on the throttle I think is the larger diameter and this was the one I used, the other being too small internally. Here's one as it arrived: Using a sharp knife I first cut it to length, and here's where I hit my first problem; The rubber and moulding is very thick making it difficult to cut and needing me to chamfer the edge. I then hit the next problem of basic measurement FUBAR and I cut the display hole in the wrong place! So I left it as was and luckily it matches up as the button hole; I'm going to leave it llike this as the wall is too thick for a small button hole, the button will be too deep to press it effectively if the hole was only the size of the button. So here it is fitted with the bonus in that it also allows you to stand it on its end when you're not using it I'm going to look for a thinner tube and try again, if anyone has found anything suitable on Ebay or elsewhere can you let me know please?

Looking nice Des.
Maybe use the other as a template and hack it about to find where the hole needs to be for display.
Well done for ingenuity though mate. #icon_welldone# #icon_welldone#

It is rather smexy... think Id be tempted to put a puncture repair circular piece over the hole for neatness and being thin enough to still press through, or im probably overthinking lol

Well spotted Brian, I am quite partial to a nice round bottom myself! Me too mate Would it be possible to cut the end off so its open at both ends? They do look to be flanged, so the Provari could be pushed in and sit flush, especially if its a snug fit. Then just needs to push out from the top, 1/2 and inch, to change batteries.

TBH there are so many designs available on fleabay that you can have whatever style you choose. I have even seen some that change colour in daylight. The only thing you need to check is the internal diameter is 22mm which is the OD of the Provari Mini I have. Whilst it sits in there nicely its easy enough to pull out but tight enough that it will not readily fall out.
