hi everyone, new to the forum. looks great to get some tips off you vaping veterans . Bought a skycig kit a while back i know. managed to stay off the normals for about 3 weeks and totally gave in and went from smoking menthol to normal fags after. I got fed up with the battery life of the skycig, and even had to buy a new one because one packed up after 2 weeks. Ive got loads of juice and cartomisers from vapeescape and was wondering whether to take the plunge for the riva kit? what i like about the sky cig is that you could charge the batteries on the go, but if the riva battery will last me a day ill be fine with sticking on charge every night. So if anyone could give me an idea on the battery life, tips and tricks about the riva kit and if anyone has got any views on the HS tobacco range from vape escape ill be really greatful. Sorry if these questions have been asked a 100 times before

Hello & welcome Stokisam The Riva 1100 batteries should last you all day & it's so well worth going for a Riva or ego kit, so really do recommend you taking the plunge It doesn't matter to us if questions have been asked before, so please go ahead & ask as many as you need to.

By the time you read this, there`ll be loads of other replies for you to read. HS range of juices is foreign to me, because i dont vape tobacco flavours at all. In fact I gave away a 50ml bottle a couple of weeks ago. The Riva kit is great for a newcomer to start with, and the batteries will last a day and a half between chargers. Try and rotate them both though, so they retain an equal lifespan. You can expect anything from 3-12 months life from 2 batteries, excepting accidents. Jason at vapeescape is a well respected vendor and you wont go wrong with buying from him. allabout will earn you 10% discound and over £40 after discount gets free shipping. BTW and feel free to join in and ask any iother questions.

I love my Riva after starting with Skycigs. Go for it, the battery life is so good when mine runs out I think I've broken it. Then I remember I do need to charge it now and again

Hi stokiesam, welcome to the forum
I have both a skycig and a riva 1100 kit. The riva is much better, the batteries will last about 1.5 - 2 days depending on how much you vape. I can easily get 1.5 days and will go through 2.5ml of juice a day, so it's pretty good. I use my riva with a mini vivi nova, which looks really go on it (if you decide on this, buy a mini nova plinth, it looks better), and gives me an entire days worth of juice in 1 place. I also use ce2 and ce4 style clearomisers, allowing fast swapping of flavours on the go.
The riva kit is much more flexible than the skycig kit in how you can use it, although the parts from both are interchangeable (with the exception of the ce4 style clearomiser, which won't fit the skycig without an adaptor).
Tobacco flavours are where I started, but have since gone more to the fruity and sweet flavours, so can't really comment on tobacco juices

Hi Stoki. Same as both Twinklet and Gothiclord, I too started with the Skycig and have now gone on to buy a Riva. The Riva is a good piece of kit and with the two batteries you can't go far wrong. I tend to use the clearomisers far more than the cartridges now as the clearo is just so easy to use, fill it up and you're done, with the added bonus that you can see exactly how much juice you have left to use. You can still use your Skycig cartos though as they are compatible with the Riva. Can't comment on baccy flavour juice as I don't really use it, but there are many other flavours to try so open your mind and dive in!

Juice flavour is all down to personal tastes, I can tell you that the HS range is a very good quality e-liquid and I still use the hs menthol sensation. If your budget will allow, rather than a riva I would go with the 900mah ego twist, One battery will last you the day and it will allow you to adjust the power output (voltage) to an intensity that suits you personally and then pretty much regulate that power until it needs recharging. The mini vivi nova as stated above is also an excellent atomiser tank and with the suggested plinth it will complement the twist. The one downfall to the riva is that when freshly charged it will be putting out 4.2v which will slowly deplete in power with use till it gets to about 3.3v. The quality of vape will have seriously depleted by the time it gets to 3.5-3.6v. It will work out a bit more expensive this way, it may be worth asking the vendor you chose to put a kit together for you. All the vendors you find posting on here you'll find to be extremely helpful.

Ditto with the guys above, i started with a skycig then bought the Riva 1100 kit from Jason at Vapeescape Great kit, i take both batteries to work with me every day and they can usually last about 2 days without recharging! I was a heavy smoker........ and now becoming a heavy vaper, would happily recommend that starter kit to anyone, it's still my daily carry-around even although i've since bought additional gizmos

I have only been vaping for 3 weeks, first juice i bought was HS delight, reordered it and Some storm, two totally different flavours the Delight is quite sweet the storm more smokey, i didnt like it at first but its grown on me and im using it more and more, just trying impulse which is some where between the two but closer to storm. I'm finding my taste preferences are a bit all over the place at the moment which i think is not uncommon when you pack the fags in, right now i'm vaping pixie juice choc chip mint which is lush.
