Vaping in public - why am I embarrassed?

I have had nothing but positive social experiences through vaping cigalikes. Everyone is curious and can't believe it's not smoke coming out of my mouth, Which generally puts me into "preacher mode". I''ve converted a few mates and got a few people thinking about it which can't be bad.

I just hope that with my new setup I will continue to enjoy public smoking. I'm sure once people realiseiit's not some sort of crack pipe I'll be fine!

If I am going to vape in public, the last thing I want to do is pretend I am smoking.

If people see me sucking on what looks like a cigarette and then exhaling clouds of vapour, it is only natural that they will perceive that I am actually smoking a cigarette and to me, doing so in a place where smoking is banned, is confrontational.

I changed from the Skycig to the Vision because of the battery issue with Cigalikes, but I am glad it worked out that way because now people know immediately that I am not smoking a ciggy. They perhaps don't know it is an e-cig, nor that it is not smoke but vapour and they probably know very little about them, but the their initial reaction will be curiosity rather than confrontational and that has got to be good for the whole vaping community.

just go for it,for me i loved it ,being a cab driver its a no no to smoking ,now its a revenge thing as local traffic wardens hint to council if they see you smoking ,a few of us who use Ecigs love going to Council and saying erm this ! maybe why they made them blue on end now, now i know bit naughty we was in Morrisons,so vaped there just to see what happened....

now on a brighter note spoke to 2 bar persons the other day from different pubs they told me they have at least 8 in theres that are quite happily vaping a away....
ps customers in cab are happy for me to vape away ,even some have asked about how it helped and where could they get it,i even let some try it,mind you look on there face when they dont expect the taste of the hit of 24mg Virignia,but they are amazed of the falvour range ,i even recommended this site for info etc

I was sat sitting in the waiting room of a tyre place today with two other customers and we was having a chin wag when I got my ego out and just said I am not smoking its just me electronic ciggie thingy, they both said they had heard of them but never seen them in action so I duly obliged and gave them a demonstration , should have seen the chaps face he was gobsmacked and he wished they had something like that when he stopped smoking years ago.
