In all the tournaments I play, and theres at least 1 every day of the week within a mile of me. Its almost a 50-50 split between men and women.
And theres nothing between their win ratio either.

Anyone else play. Im running a weekly tournament each Sunday at 3pm in my local British Legion Club. OOOOPS.... Better run hi mate do you know bourmouth miller ?? not sure if he runs the railway club down there..i know he invites rotherham folk when we play down that way as for the poker i play almost everyday on skypoker and play live often at dusk till dawn europes number one venue as for getting a online game together its really is quite easy tbh various different sites offer home tables to play on just set it up with a password and then put the invite out .. only people with the password can then join in ,, if im not working you cant count me in ..

I only play 5 card draw. I really can't stand texas hold 'em and have no idea why it's so popular. If it's 5 card draw I'd consider it.

I think the appeal of hold em is partly due to the fact that it's a flop game with community cards. This means you have more information than in 5 card draw about your opponents' possible hands. You can also think about how different opponent ranges interact with different board textures, and try to work out how you opponents like to play different types of board. Whereas in 5 card draw, all you've got to go on is the number of cards your opponents' exchange (plus some assumptions about card exclusion based on your own discards). As for reading opponents in 5 card draw, you only have their overall playing tendencies to go on. You can't make any reads based on board texture.
(I'm not saying one is better / more skilled than the other - in my view they're just different and involve different types of skill - but I think the reason people like hold em is the extra dynamic that community cards add.)

I'm on Poker Stars but prefer Omaha Hi Lo or even just Omaha or Razz.

I'm on Poker Stars but prefer Omaha Hi Lo or even just Omaha or Razz. Hmm, I don't have much experience in split-pot or lowball games, but I'm happy to play whatever. There's always the option of HORSE, or 8-game mix, etc. Something to please everyone.

I refuse to play online, due to the kerfuffle last year from Full Tilt and the goings on.
However if we could "rent" an online room and play privately, thats a different matter.
I play Hold-em, but years ago draw was my choice too.

I don't think the Full Tilt situation should affect your view of Poker Stars. I think there's more than enough evidence now that they're safe and reliable and you can trust them with any money you deposit.
I'm not sure what you mean by renting an online room, but as stated earlier in the thread, it is possible to set up private games on Stars.
