Hi there. Long time since I was active here (probably around 2012 to 2015 - hello to any members from back then who remember me! ). Just looking for recommendations, as I don't really follow the latest releases these days. I'm looking for a not-too-expensive VW mod with an external 18650 rather than a built-in battery. I currently build (kanthal) coils with cotton at around 0.4ohms and vape somewhere around 18-25W (ish). (At the moment, I'm using a Kanger "RBA mini plus" that came with the TopTank Mini in the Kanger TopBox Mini kit). So I don't really have a need for a mod that goes beyond (say) 30-40W. Any recommendations (of mods and/or online vendors)? (A lot of the online vendors I was familiar with back in the early 2010s seem to have disappeared!) Cheers!

I know it's a long shot, since it's an old bit of kit, but if anyone still has a working Clockworks RDA they'd be willing to sell, please let me know. I'd be eternally grateful!

Cheers, that looks promising. I have a memory of visiting this site at some point in the past, but I'd totally forgotten about it. Looks like he does exactly what I'm looking for. Twin 18650 tins. Thanks for pointing me in this direction. (It's not the same guy as GD, though.)

Hi
I'm looking for a twin 18650 VV box mod. Preferably a tin. In fact, the ideal situation would be if someone has an old Garry Dibley tin mod in decent condition which they're willing to part with. (I say "old" because I haven't seen GD mentioned for ages and I assume he doesn't make these any more.)
I have no interest in sub-ohms / massive wattage. I just want a good old fashioned twin 18650 box mod to replace the one I've been using for the last few years but have just dropped on my driveway and knackered. :/
PM me if you have anything that might fit the bill.
Cheers, Kuro.

Failing that... my closest military base (preferably the RAF so we can get a lift to an even safer area if needed) In zombie scenarios, the military always end up reverting to their natural state: a bunch of heavily armed thugs. If you head to a military base, I reckon you are (to quote Game of Thrones) in for a bit of a rape.

So... what movies have freaked you out in the past? As far as eerie / spooky films go, I have to say that the only ones that tend to freak me out are East Asian. Probably the best examples I can think of are The Eye and Ju-on: The Grudge. And also Ju-on: The Grudge 2. Another film that sticks in my mind is a low budget German one called Tears of Kali, but I think the reason it affected me so much was because (a) I saw it as the final film in a horror all-nighter and I'd been guzzling strong coffee all night in order to stay awake; and (b) it screened immediately after a Ju-on film and then Calvaire, and my nerves were well and truly jangled by that point. I suspect that if I saw it again, it might just look cheap and ineffective. Certainly from what I can recall, the acting was terrible, and the subs were badly done. But it did have some extremely disturbing ideas and images in it. In terms of purely disturbing / gruelling (non-supernatural) horror films, I'd have to say I've been the most freaked out by Martyrs and Audition. There's also a Spanish home invasion horror called Kidnapped which I thought was really full-on in terms of pure pants-filling tension; and it was also very well made (for example, it's really well choreographed - the whole thing consists in just 12 long shots). That's all I can think of. I know there are many films that I haven't seen that are supposed to be extremely disturbing (eg, Salò, A Serbian Film, the original Guinea Pig series), but I can only go off what I've actually seen. {EDIT to add: I haven't seen the US remakes of The Eye or The Grudge 2, so I can't comment on whether they're any better or worse than the originals. However, I have seen the US version of The Grudge, starring Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and it was pretty terrible.} {Another EDIT to add: I've just remembered Eden Lake. Not a very original horror film, overall, but one hell of a freak out ending. One of those that stays with you for a while.}

I'm just trying some of this now. Mixed at 2% with 1% Vape Wizard. It's only been steeping for 6 days, but I thought I'd give it a try. I can't really taste any similarity with tobacco, or roll-ups. It seems like a bit of a fruity / tangy flavour to me. Quite nice. Might let this bottle steep a bit more though.

Is there any independent analysis available to enable you to tell which flavours contain the smallest amount of these potentially toxic substances? Not as far as I'm aware. Most companies don't say which flavours contain acetoin and/or acetyl propionyl - never mind the quantities. TPA do provide this information, and they also give a rough indication of quantity. However, the point that TPA emphasise about acetoin and acetyl propionyl is that flavours containing them may also contain trace amounts of diacetyl. In other words, it's probabilistic, not absolute. So I don't think there's any way of inferring the amount of diacetyl present in a liquid given the exact amount of acetoin and/or acetyl propionyl it contains. I'm assuming you'd need to do a batch-by-batch analysis. And some / many / all of those batches may, of course, contain no diacetyl at all. In any case, as far as I'm aware, there are no serious studies on the long-term effects of regularly vaping diacetyl in trace amounts. I think the only thing a vaper can do is read up on what effects the inhalation of diacetyl has had in other contexts (see the wikipedia page on diacetyl for a good starting place) and make your own judgment about the risks posed by regularly vaping it over the long-term. I'm just wondering if the PA concentrates would be safer long term.... I don't think that TPA flavourings which carry a risk of containing diacetyl can be judged any more or less safe than those flavourings of other companies' which carry a risk of containing diacetyl. It's just that TPA are the only company who actually go out of their way to tell you about it.

From what I gather with regards to perfumers, they have seperated their ranges into perfumers and flavours.. flavours are deemed perfectly safe for vaping and perfumers are not.. This is incorrect. The flavour range includes products (such as vanilla custard) that may contain trace amounts of diacetyl because they contain acetoin and/or acetyl propionyl. The point is that they are the only company who explicitly label which flavours contain acetoin and/or acetyl propionyl.

I also don't like Capella's dishonesty about this whole diacetyl thing... They say that their VC contains none whatsoever, yet I've read of at least two independent tests that say different... Even if it is only minute!! I approve of this stance. Even though you're risking trace amounts of diacetyl either way, why not choose to buy from the (only) company who are actually open and explicit about it?

Brilliant.. another guitar play that understands the pull of the passion that is music.. Yeah Be the source, it could have been so good for all of us on there. I didnt get chance to play at FAC51 got offered to play. went to afew live shows that got filmed.. meet lucy and Ben .shame they didnt do the second series as I had another 3 videos that had made it through to the TV show. D-Bo is still rapping, and doing very well, he'll be one to watch out for. plus I know that hankypark singer James davenport will be apperaing on X-Factor when it starts.. he got through some stages then stopped updateing how far he got... it was all good fun and another thing we can say we have done.. I have to admit, I don't know any of the names you mention. I really had very little involvement with the whole thing. Basically, our singer said "I've submitted some videos to this website where you can end up on telly", and I didn't really look any further into it! He also sent some stuff to Radio Lancashire, and they played one of our tracks: soundcloud.com/cynical-laughter/cynical-laughter-auntie-jeanesI think they were keen to hear more tracks, as long as we could provide radio-edited versions to get rid of the swearing (not that we have overly offensive lyrics - but it probably averages out at 1 or 2 f-bombs per song. The above song was the only one they were happy to play on radio because it's an instrumental!)

I do enjoy the game though as I've always enjoyed that sort of thing. Tried the planes too but can't really get on with it yet, can't wait for the ships though. I suspect it's one of those games that is way more fun when recreational players are messing around with it, rather than pro teams who scout perfectly, maintain formations, make no mistakes, and end up forcing stalemates. When you say "that sort of thing", do you mean military simulation, or RTS generally?

At the moment I only really do some online gaming (mainly WoT, ... I watched a couple of pro games of WoT, as it seems to be quite big on ESL. Couldn't see the appeal of it, really. Each game ended in a boring standoff leading to a draw. Maybe I saw games that weren't particularly good. Then again, a lot of games I find completely dull are massively popular with esports audiences (LoL, for example).

I have a pair of Sony MDR-CD280s which I use for PC gaming and listening to music / podcasts around the house. I must have had them about 15 years, maybe more. They're still going strong. Light, comfortable, good sound. I don't think they make them anymore. No idea how much they cost originally, as they were an xmas gift. I doubt they were top of the range. I don't play many co-op games, but if I need to use a mic, I stick a cheap plastic headset with a mic attached round my neck, while still wearing my normal headphones.

I seem to have a lot of hobbies which involve not having to get up off my arse: watching films, playing games (mainly PC games), watching pro-level gaming tournaments (Starcraft 2), playing poker. I also enjoy playing Petanque, which does actually involve getting up and going outside, but I haven't played for a while. Keep meaning to get back into practice. I go to a local club to play, and some of the players there are proper decent county-league level players, and it's a bloody unforgiving game to play against people who are a lot better than you. I also play guitar, and funnily enough, in relation to this post ....... I was on a music TV show called Be the Source Which was on a sky channel. we submitted our vidoes and they got rated online by the public for the TV show, luckly I had all 3 videos of mine make it to the TV show. I did OK. got rated over all 8th. out of nearly 60 acts. ....... I believe that my band had videos at number 30 and 31. I say "believe", as I never actually saw the TV show. It was our singer who submitted the vids and told us where we'd ended up in the final chart. The website doesn't exist any more, so the only evidence I have that this ever actually happened is a post from our facebook page:
